On a warm spring night, the world slowed down, and the faces of the crowd blended out of my version. All I see is the ashy-blonde-haired boy staring back at me. "you wouldn't believe me, but this is my first dance with someone." hunter said, flushed.
"oh really? You stepping on my foot kinda gave it away, haha." we swung back around. I looked into the crowd to see if I could find blue anywhere, but she was nowhere to be seen. "I wonder where she is."
🦋Blues POV🦋
As the others were out dancing, I sneaked into the library. I was hoping to find more info on the day of unity. My finger brushes across the covers of the books. "healing 101, the time I was reincarnated as a Taitin. They don't have any books mentioning it."
My eyes shot up to a higher shelf. On it was a single dust-covered book. "Cho, can you grab that book up there for me?" the butterfly flapped out of my hair, flattering up to the book and shoving it down to me.
I grab the book as Cho flies back to my ponytail. "Thank you!" I place the book on a desk and brush the dust off it. The cover reads HEX SIDE YEARBOOK. The year date was too old to make out.
"Hello!? Why is something like this here?" I Look back and forth. "No one is here, so I could take a little peak."
🎻Kevin POV🎻
Hunter and I leave the dance floor to grab some punch and chill near the back of the castle. "So Kevin, what kind of magic are you most interested in?" hunter takes a sip of the fruit punch.
"Well, at the moment, im learning bard magic, and I am pretty good at it, too," I say with a genuine smile.
Hunter Scooted closer to me while a glow was radiating off his face. "You should join the Bard coven! That would be so cool!!" his attitude is identical to a child who is offered candy.
"oh, I don't know if I will ever be good enough for-."
He grabs my hand, pulling me up. "Don't talk about my best friend like that!" his face showing slight irritation
My face is flushed, thankfully, it's night, or he might have seen that. "you think of me as your best friend already?" he nods, ensuring I know he's telling the truth.
