Her thoughts were occupied of Shoaib. The whole evening they spent together. The way he shoved her to his side or the way he held her hands exiting the metro.
It probably meant nothing to him. He's probably like that with other women too, gulnaz thought.
But it meant everything for her. It was these little things that made her heart worked up. And she thought of those little moments, when he tied her hair up and when he helped her. Every conversation was repeating again and again like a film reel in her head.
She felt like a sixteen year teenager who got her first crush.
"What are you smiling about?" She heard taufeeq asking.
Gulnaz got out of her dream zone and looked at him as she realised all of them were looking at her. She touched her lips, "No no I wasn't smiling."
"Yes you were." Karan said
"No no I'm listening to you guys."
Taufeeq smirked, "Okay, what we were talking about then?"
She glared at him making him laugh.
"Who are you thinking about?Who got your attention?" Karan asked. His tone wasn't really playful but gulnaz let it go. She knows how possessive Karan is towards his friends.
Gulnaz immediately replied, "No one."
"Actually, who were you with today? Where were you?" Karan asked again
"Karan!" Gulnaz didn't like being interrogated.
"You smiled and giggled like a school girl! Tell us who's the guy, Naz." Taufeeq whined. He so wanted to know the gossip.
"It's not like this, I swear! I just remembered a joke." She lied.
"Yeah? What was the joke?" This Maleeha asked. Gulnaz sent a quick glare at her. She already knew who they were talking about but still maleeha enjoyed the show.
"How you guys are so damn stupid all the time. That was the joke." Naz glared at everyone.
"You're so smiley smiley these days. Of course you met someone." Karan said, this time he was teasing her.
"No just no. I didn't. I'm just happy with life. Can't I be?"
"No," all three of them said at the same time.
Gulnaz huffed and shoved her mango ice cream in her mouth, "You guys are the worst friends ever!"
Taufeeq rolled his eyes. "We'll find him anyways."
"There's no guy," Gulnaz threw a cushion at him to which he dodged easily.
"You're such a bad liar." Karan stated.
She didn't response, just focused on her mango ice cream instead. Her before good mood was now spoiled.
Why do they want to know everything? It's so annoying, no privacy at all! Gulnaz thought grumpily.
The conversation shifted back to the college gossip they were earlier talking about. This time, gulnaz participated in the conversation even if she didn't want to so they don't doubt her.

Next day, gulnaz got ready a little more than usual. She applied mascara and lip tinted balm on her lips as she wore a maroon crop top with high waisted blue jeans. It wasn't much, but Naz went through her closet for an hour and changed her outfit five times.
She wanted to look good, not how she just used to go wherever with whatever she was wearing by not caring of her looks.
She combed her hair and tied it up in a ponytail. She also removed her chipped nail polish.
