As I approached the door to my house, something familiar sat on the porch. "Huh? (Name)?" The familiar mouse was waiting on the steps.
"That's not his name. Although I rather like it." A soothing voice muttered behind.
A chill ran up my spine and I felt my cheeks sting lightly. Was I actually blushing?
Footsteps sounded from behind, getting increasingly louder. Then breath on my neck.
"I'm flattered really. You came looking for me. So does that mean you accept me? It's not like you have a choice..." Fingers trickled down my arm and he pushed up against me, whispering in my ear.
"Our hearts are one after all."
I pulled away from Jason and glared into his eyes. "Just who are you? I don't understand. What do you mean?"
The killer tilt his head and frowned. "Dear (y/n), have you heard of the wishing well?" He asked slowly.
"Wishing well? Those things where you make a wish and throw a coin in?" I tilt my head confused.
Jason smiled slightly in response. "Well in my world, there's a special well. Offering your blood to the abyss gives you a glimpse of the future." Jason suddenly pushed me into the door and locked me in place. "That night, my blood was in the well. But nothing was there. That was, until a flower fell on me from above. I looked at the petals and your name was on it."
I slid my hand behind me to discreetly grasp the doorknob. "But... how did you even find me?"
Jason fell silent and I thought I understood.
"You wanted to kill me?" I muttered out quietly. That had to be in, right? A killer from another world? It's hardly believable but if he wasn't lying, I would have to trust him.
The redhead frowned. "(y/n) I don't like this conversation. We're changing the subject-"
The door flew open backwards and I felt myself topple down. In a loud thud, his weight was on me again just like when we had first met.
"Ughh g-get off me." I raised my arms to push against his chest.
The killer's hand flew over my mouth and he began to scan the room. "Shush."
I didn't hear anything but I obeyed. Our argument was cut short as we both listened for something. Seconds ticked by and I became impatient. What exactly was it?
"(Y/n).. run." Jason rolled off me and allowed me to sit up.
"Why? What's going on?"
The killer cracked his knuckles. "Candy Pop. (Y/n), go now!" He suddenly raised his voice and growled at me. Jason's eyes were no longer the calming silver but a bright green. I didn't feel safe anymore. My heart pumped up and I bolted out the door. The bigger question though was.. where do I go?
Such a noise. A gruesome and terrible noise. I couldn't possibly have not heard it. Even with my sweet (y/n) here. "Come out come out wherever you are." I pulled my staff out of hiding and waved the stick around.
The sound I had heard was gone but I knew he was here.
"If you think your going to lay a single hand on my beloved-"
"Jason." The high pitched voice giggled from behind. Just great.
I spun around quickly to face the man. A young one with neon blue hair in two long pigtails. His face was young but I knew better than to trust him.
"I said I never wanted to see you again. I should have killed you when I had the chance." I pointed my staff at his throat. Candy Pop sneered. "Ahh thank you for that little act of mercy but I must say, it's really unlike you to spare a life. What changed your mind?"
"Because you were my friend once."
"Which makes your deed even stranger. Tell me. Is it this world? Earth? Are you growing soft? Growing.... might I even say... human?"
I couldn't hold myself back. I caught him in a choke-hold and pinned him to a wall. "Humans are impure. You got that! Greedy, angry, corrupted! The only exception is-"
"That girl?" Candy Pop wheezed. "What do you see in her? You barely know that human. You're attached because that stupid well said her god damn name. Trinket gifts? You don't love her. That bloody well is blinding your true feelings."
I tightened my grip on his throat, digging my nails into his neck. I could feel his flesh under my palms and I loved it.
"You're lying. What I have is true. Unlike what you did. (Y/n)'s soul and heart are still pure and kind. It's not the well. She's never asked for something or did any crimes. She doesn't belong on earth, surrounded by such corruption."
"Then... take her to ours."
I dropped the intruder and he sucked in a long breath, rubbing his neck gently. "Gee thanks. Listen to what I have to say before you decide to kill me will you?"
I looked to the door then back at Candy Pop.
"Make it quick. My (y/n) is still out there. "
Candy Pop stood up and sighed. "Look man. I'm sorry we had a falling out. But Papagrande is still out there. He's looking for you. He wants blood. Yours to be exact."
I cracked my neck and frowned. "Why would you care about me? You threw me away to be with Anesthesia. And what does it matter? The man is a loon." I clenched a tight hold of my staff and raised it, ready to strike if I needed.
Candy Pop sneered. "Ah Annie is such a sweet thing. I don't regret that. But what about (y/n)? She's in danger the longer you stick around here. Why in fact, I think the pastas already found her."
