~FLASHBACK~

"Oh, what should I do at the next Wessex Cup?" My gaze turned to father as his hands tightly gripped the newspaper.

"Betting on a horse again, Father? You never really learn, do you?" A deep sigh escaped my lips as the man before me only shrugged before the carriage we were riding stopped.

I set my gaze outside before I realized that I have already arrived at my destination, the Hatton Garden Ragged School. "I'll go now. Goodbye, Father." With the carriage door opening, I was about to step outside when he spoke.

"Be careful not to get a cold." He nonchalantly advised, skipping over to the next few pages of the newspaper.

My forehead formed creases as I suspiciously looked at him. "And what do you mean by that?"

"You know what I mean. Those orphans are filthy, you might get sick-"

"Father," I sternly warned, my strict gaze piercing into him.

He lifted his head up temporarily to meet my gaze before lowering them back to the newspaper. "Whatever, take care." He calmly said as I finally exited the carriage.

Immediately greeted by my fellow kids, a smile formed on my lips. "(Y/n-neesan)!" A younger boy came running to my direction as I let my arms out and he immediately hugged me.

"Hello, what shall we do today?" I asked calmly as he quickly held my hand and brought me at the benches.

"I made two new friends! They know math and they can teach me so I'll become an accountant! Let me introduce them to you!" My brows perked up as I slightly tilted my head and let him lead the way, his fluffy ginger hair bouncing all the way through the journey.

"Really? And them?"

"Yeah! They're supeeer smart! They taught me how to count and they said they like flowers as well!" My mouth formed an 'o' shaped as he further dragged me into the group of kids who flocked together in a circle as if something interesting is happening in the middle.

"Everyone, (Y/n-neesan) is here!" He cheerfully announced making everyone turn their head behind them.

Their gazes met my approaching figure as I carefully walked, trying not to trip with how my outfit was not designed for running.

Some of them instantaneous cheered as a gap was made in the circle, revealing the people they were circling.

My (E/c) made contact with their crimson ones before my gaze landed on their dishvealed blonde hair.

My gaze immediately soften upon seeing one of them was very pale and looked sickly. However, my staring came to a halt when the younger looking one suddenly coughed.

"H-Hey...are you okay?" I asked, concern laced my voice as my father's words came to my mind.

'Be careful not to get a cold.'

Looking at their outfits, one would clearly see the difference between what we were wearing. To be honest, the clothes they were wearing was kind of dirty.

However, this wouldn't stop me from worrying. Plus, my immune system is strong, I wouldn't get sick.

"I'm okay...Miss (L/n). No need to worry." The boy propped himself up as if he wasn't sick at all.
