I wake up on the day of the Reaping wanting to run away. But I cant or I'll automaticly be in the Hunger Games. I go to the closet and pick out a Blue dress and white leggings. I slip on some blue pumps and im dressed. I brush my hair and walk down to a breakfast of Sausages and Bacon. Dad is doing a suduko and Mum comes down the steps. "Eat up, Laia." She says. I can tell she is worried. I am too. We hear the giant bell ring meaning that we have to get to the square. I wipe my face and we walk as a family to the square. The big plastic reaping bowls are full with names. 3 of them are mine. Or I think they are. They could have put 20 of my names in the bowl or more, I dont know. I go stand in the roped off place labeled 14 next to Yasmin and Faith.

We smile at each other. When the square was quiet The Mayor started reading out the Treaty of Treason. Then he introduces Tersilla, our Escort. Shes wearing a Yellow long dress with Yellow pumps. She has gold jewlerry on and a short yellow wig. "Welcome, District 12, Today is an exiting day! Its the Quater Quell! So, Laides first!" She says with a grin, probably wishing to get promoted to District 1 or something like that. She dips her Jaguar print hands into the bowl and reads out "Essena Chanted!" She reads out. A girl with Blonde hair and grey Seam eyes slowly walks out of the 17 section. Only a single tear falls down her cheek. I reconise her. She is part of the Orphanage. There is no one crying so her parents must have died. "How old are you Essena?" "17" She replies. "Take a seat Essena, Now the next girl is," Tersilla reaches right down to the center if the bowl and reads out,

"Laia Kilster."

What.Did.She.Say?

My name. Im going into the Hunger Games.

I slowly walk up to the stage, keeping my face straight. "How old are you girl?" Tersilla asks. "14" I reply. Im suprised how calm my voice is. "Are you the Daughter of Talia Kilster?" "Yes" I say. I sit down in a chair and wait for the boys. "Mike Marington!" She shouts. I see his parents crying as he walks up onto stage. I feel sorry for him. "Victor Newt!" NO! Not him. I pray silently for someone to volunteer for him, but no one does. He walks up, states his age, and walks to the chairs. I look at him and he looks at me and we both have 2 tears on our face. "I like you." He says. "I like you too." I reply. At least were not in the same games. That means he could still win.

Tersilla ends the reaping and we are taken to the Justice Building to say goodbye to our love ones. I hate the Hunger Games.
