I sit in a small silver room waiting for my name to be called. The District 11 male has just gone so its me next. "Laia Kilster, District 12, age 14." A robotic voice from nowhere says. Victor and Mike smile at me and I walk through the doors. The Gamemakers and Peacekeepers are standing at a platform overlooking the whole centre. I instantly headed over to the Bow and Arrows. I grabbed a diamond bow and some arrows. I ask for moving mouse dummies and a Avox presses a grey button. Instantly tiny little mice dummies start skitting around. I take careful aim and shoot. Soon I have shot every mouse dead in the eye without failing once. I then hop onto the wooden beam an start sprinting across it. I pull my bow back, which is loaded with two arrows, and shoot at the dummy in front of me. One hits the heart and the other pierces the head. I flip off the beam and shoot a arrow. It slices through the arrow in the head and stays their. I ask for a line of targets and fire. The Avox brings forth 4 targets in a row. I pull back the string, take a breath, and realease the arrow, breathing out. The arrow flies through all the targets, and settles on the head of the last target, the others supporting a small hole in the head. The Gamemakers and Peacekeepers are all stunned, staring at my arrows. One actually dropped his wine glass and it shatters on the ground. "This is only the start" I say, smiling. I grab a silver axe and run towards some straw dummies. I cleanly chop one in half and blindly chuck the axe over my shoulder. I hear a thud and turn around. My axe gleams on the highly polished ground behind a dummy with a hole straight in the face. I place it back in its stand and grab the materials to make a fire without flint. After around 40 seconds a fire is crackling merrily. I then start on the obsticle course, grabbing the bow and arrows. I bounce on the trampoline and cling onto the rope dangling down. I swing across and jump onto the platform. I jump onto the monkey bars and climb across. I sprint across the balance beam on the other side and slide down the steel pole to the hurdles. I jump over everyone and on the last one, shooting a arrow towards the red and white target. "Bullseye!" I hear a Gamemaker yell. I smile and climb up a rope and head to the final obstical, the multiple rope swing. I swing across all of them and jump down to the landing mat, hitting another bullseye. I then place the bow back and grab a sleek copper sword. I start spinning around and around and finally, chucking the sword. It flies for a bit before piercing the dummies in a line that had already had a arrow through their head, except the sword stabs their hearts. I look at the Gamemakers faces, filled with amazement, confusment, astonishment and suprise all at the same time. I mean, I am District 12. I bet they expected alot of failing. Guess their wrong. The bell rings and I leave, seeing the Avox's cleaning up my work.
Unless I'm wrong, I think I just scored a 12.
