After months of waiting and worrying, a beautiful, healthy baby girl was born. Everything had gone smoothly and with much relief, Dean went to call his parents, children, and friends to share the good news.
Angela and Guy were overjoyed.
The children, especially the girls, were thrilled.
Frank and Sammy were together at the Sands, so when Dean called, they happened to be together. "Hey, pallies. She's here."
"How's Chrissy?"
"She's great. The baby's great. It's all wonderful."
"Congrats, pally!" Sammy chimed in, "What's her name?"
"Marie Angela, for Chrissy's grandmother and my mother."
"That's beautiful, Dino. Hey, go give that little girl a kiss from her Uncles Frank and Sammy. Tell her Frank is the better one," he laughed.
"I got to get back to my girls. We'll talk soon."
"We love you and the girls," Sammy said.
"Hey, we'll smoke some cigars the next time we're together to celebrate," Frank added.
Dean hung up the phone and returned to his wife, "Hey, honey."
"She's so perfect, Dean. I forgot what the joy was like from when Jamie was born."
"All the worrying we've done, and now all I feel is relief and so much happiness."
Dean sat in her bed with her and their daughter, feeling that all was right with the world.
