Zenitsu slowly opens the door of his room; he sees Uzui leaning against the wall, the book in one hand, and his eyes drifting across the page. Zenitsu smiles and appears in front of him.

"Good morning!" Uzui jumps and blinks down at him. He looks at the number of the page and closes it, stuffing it into the inside of his jacket.

"Hey, your highness." Zenitsu blushes and narrows his eyes. Why use a formal title when he's going to use snarky language anyway?! He lets out a deep sigh and crosses his arms, pouting childishly.

"Y-you don't have to call me that." He says, stepping closer to him. Uzui stares with a blank face, not saying anything. "Um, how's the book?"

"It's fine, I guess." Zenitsu huffs and puts his hands on his hips.

"So... is it not to your liking?" Uzui shakes his head. "Aw! Hm..." Zenitsu crosses his arms, closes his eyes, and scrunches his eyebrows. He gasps, making startling Uzui. "Then let's go to the library!"

"What?" Zenitsu grabs his hand and drags him down the hallway. Zenitsu opens the doors, still grasping Uzui's hand. Uzui's eyes scan the whole room. It's absolutely beautiful. The ceilings are sky high, as well as the bookshelves. There are windows on the ceiling too, letting in a spotlight on the big table in the middle of the room. There are endless books, ladders, and staircases.

Zenitsu glances at Uzui's face; his eyes are glimmering in awe. He parts his lips and notices how the lights reflect off Uzui's hair. His hair is like fine, expensive silk threads. Some of it falls in his face, covering his eyes. Zenitsu goes on the tips of his toes, reaching up to move some of it so he can see them better. Uzui turns his head, making direct eye contact with him. Blush creeps across Zenitsu's cheeks.

"Ah!- I'm-I'm sorry!" He jerks his arm back, flustered. A dreadful silence fills the air. "U-um, what kind of books do you like?" Uzui thinks for a moment, looking down at their clasped hands.

"Anything but romance and Shakespeare." Zenitsu laughs and looks off to one of the shelves. He lets go of his hand and climbs one of the ladders. Uzui looks down at his hand; it's slightly sweaty. Zenitsu calls him over and hands him one. He turns back to the books and scans through them, running his finger along them. He picks out another, and another, and another.

"Well, you can see which ones you like from these I've picked." Uzui and Zenitsu walk over to the table, arms full of books. Zenitsu picks one up and reads the inside page. Uzui stands next to him, also reading along with him. "Interesting, yeah?" Uzui glances at him; they're a lot closer than he intended, but he doesn't move. Zenitsu looks up at him, his face lit up with a bright smile.

"Seems boring," Zenitsu gasps, deeply hurt by the assertion. Uzui scoffs, a grin tugging at his lips.

"Fine! How about this one?"

Uzui finally finds a book he's willing to read, and Zenitsu offers for him to sit. They sit next to each other, reading their book. Zenitsu glances at him a few times, not going entirely unseen by Uzui. Zenitsu can hardly pay attention to it, he's probably read the same line ten times. He sighs and puts the book down, placing a bookmark on the page. Uzui looks up, eyeing Zenitsu's face.

"Do you want to leave, your highness?" Zenitsu pouts and crosses his arms.

"No, and stop calling me that! Call me by my name."

"I am not allowed to, your highness. Your father said as much." Zenitsu groans and leans back in his chair. He's talking so formally now. It's starting to piss Zenitsu off. He's so inconsistent!
