"Uh-Shoji! What happened?" Midoriya panicked. "With those injuries...you should be layed up in bed, recovering. Fujiko, you need to be back at camp. Your bleeding and bruised up and there after you. But you guys wanna save someone precious to you, no matter what the cost," shoji grunted. Tsuski's eyes widned and she sighed, knowing it was selfish to run into the forest like that, only making is easier for the villains.
"You're injured, too," Midoriya noticed. "Yes, we were ambushed by villains. And I covered us...but the attack triggered Tokoyami's quirk. Even though he was desperately trying to hold it back," Shoji explained making Tsuski gasp. "No- Don't tell me-" Midoriya muttered. "Yeah, if we wanna get through here...we'll have to face dark shadow, first." Shoji said.
"STAY AWAY-FROM ME! YOU'LL DIE!" Tokoyami yelled as dark shadow was holding him captive. "Tokoyami-NO!" Shoji quickly ran, still holding the two, and his behind a tree as Midoriya panicked. "But- how did he get this way?!" Midoriya asked him. "Keep it down, after Mandalay told us what happened and that we shouldn't engage....we we're both on high alert. Still, one of the villains got the drop on us. I hid in the bushes and tried to cover Tokoyami even though one of my arms were cut off," Shoji explained. "Really?" Midoriya gasped and looked at the stub as blood dripped down.
"It looks bad, but it's not like it's lost forever, my dupla arms are capable of making duplicates among duplicates. One of those was cut off. Thing is...he couldn't stand seeing me injured like that. The quirk he'd begin suppressing began to rage and take over," Shoji finished with a sigh. "The darker it is..that's the less control Tokoyami has. I guess I had no idea his quirk could explode like this," Tsuski mumbled and looked at him.
"It was probably ignited by his regret and guilt. He's trying to hold his back, but they made it wilder," Shoji added and accidentally stepped on a branch. He quickly moved away as Dark shadow strikes the tree down.
"FORGET ABOUT ME! GO! find our classmate's- help them instead!" Tokoyami yelled. As he spit those words out, Tsuski's chest tighten as she realised how similar they were in this moment. Saying you were okay when you knew deep you weren't, you were suffering.
"His quirk has a weakness to light, if we can lead them to a fire or back to camp...we can contain it. Midoriya, Fujiko, I know these are strange circumstances...but I can't just leave a suffering friend behind. You forced you're broken body to get here because you were worried about Bakugo, Fujiko, I'm assuming you fought hard to get here because you're also worried about Todoroki. If you guys want to save them, I'll distract dark shadow for you and you can run," Shoji said.
"Huh- hold on! The fire and camp are both pretty far away! You'll be in danger if-" suddenly dark shadow struck the tree they were hiding at again, making shoji quickly moved away once again. "I know that! But to save people, you have to take risks! That's what makes a hero, a hero! Will you two stay with me and help Tokoyami, or will you rush to his side. You both have to make a choice," Shoji said.
