"Is everyone ready?" Jake called resolutely through the crowd, which began to cheer loudly. Then his eyes wandered to Neytiri who was standing next to him. "We'll find her." She looked at him with slight tears in her eyes and nodded bravely. "Let's save our daughter Ma'Jake." Thereupon, the search team started moving towards the forest.

A whole week passed in which Miles and I wandered through the woods together, without a destination. But in this time we came a little closer. Learned to know us more. I would even say that I trust him completely now.

Every day was actually the same and yet varied. I showed him how to survive here on Pandora. Showed him how beautiful it actually was. But sometimes he didn't understand the smallest things that I took for granted. Probably it is because he did not grow up here.

In all the time we had spent together, we had... you know not kissed once. I didn't know why but I didn't find it unpleasant either. Rather reassuring and not forced. I also knew it was wrong. Wrong that I had allowed that to happen with Miles. The person who had literally kidnapped me, but my heart was stronger than my mind.

Every night I slept clinging to his body and he held me close. I felt safer than I ever had before and I hoped he did too.

By now it was late evening and already dark. As always, everything looked wonderful, but today something was different. There was a certain tension in the air. Miles and I were sitting across from each other not far away. No one was saying or doing anything. We just sat there, exhausted from all the walking.

Suddenly, I noticed single seeds from the Tree of Souls and my eyes grew wide. I stood up to observe them more closely. Miles followed my every move but remained seated. "How beautiful." I whispered with a smile. "Yeah how beautiful." My head turned around to face him. His gaze was only on me. "Miles you're not even looking at them." I laughed out. "I'm looking at you." A tingle spread through my body, at the sound of his words, and I gently blew away a seed that came too close. Then I walked toward the avatar sitting on the ground, who still didn't move a muscle.

"You have to look at THEM. They carry so much history and sacredness." Now I was standing directly in front of him. Miles looked at me with a relaxed face, his eyes almost shining. "You are enough for me." A small smile played around his lips. I felt heat rising in my cheeks.

He eyed my face and then lingered on my lips. Again and again, however, his gaze wandered back and forth between my eyes and my mouth. Then I saw how he began to bend forward. As if by reflex, I did the same and our lips met. I felt exactly the same things as the first time. His soft lips forming a rhythm. How he gently touched my body with his hands and how my fingers ran along his cheek.

After a while I detached myself from him and looked at him excitedly. On Miles face almost a question mark formed, so confused was he and yet he did not ask. Slowly I took out my braid and held it out to him. My breath quickened. "I want it to be forever." I whispered. His eyes widened when he heard the sentence.

Miles pulled out his braid as well and looked at me expectantly. I nodded with a slight smile and could see his tension. Slowly my nerves came out from between my hair and he held his up as well, but his gaze was only on me. I could not avert mine either.

Our braids were getting closer. Closer and closer. Almost we united. Until...

"UAH!"

I jerked my head around and was completely taken out of my trance. Startled, I stared into the forest.

"UAH!"

Again I heard it. Goosebumps spread all over my body. "Y/n what is it!? What's wrong?!" Miles sat up stiffly. "It's just some animal." Breathing quickly, I spun around in all directions. "No...No that's not an animal." No it couldn't be. How was that possible? Absently, I focused on the sound coming from the forest around us.

"UAH!"

The call was closer than before. Now I was sure but could not believe it myself. "Y/n talk to me I- Y/N!" I ran as fast as I could and left Miles sitting there. I couldn't help it. I couldn't control myself or think straight.

I ran through the forest, bushes scratching my skin but I didn't care. Tears formed in my eyes and joy rose in me.

"MOM!" I shouted through the whole forest. No matter what dangerous animals I attracted with it. "DAD!" I ran and ran until finally I heard some screaming. "Y/N!" I wheeled around. "YES I'M HERE!" I sobbed and rubbed my face. "Y/N!" The voices were close now. They are almost here. "I'm here!" My voice broke. Then suddenly there was a rustling next to me and my parents came out of the thicket. They stood rooted to the spot for a moment until they came rushing towards me. "Oh great mother thank you thank you!" My mother knelt down and pulled me into a tight hug. "Mom I-." She interrupted me. "Shh it's ok, now you're here." She cried and smiled at me. Then my dad pulled me to him too, who had also knelt down. "Oh my beautiful daughter." "Dad I missed you." I buried my face in his shoulder. My mom clung around us and together we stood there for a moment until we broke away. My father wiped the tears from my face and smiled at me. "Are you okay honey?" I nodded and jumped into his arms once again.

Moments later, I had calmed down a bit and detached myself from him again. Several Metkayina stood apart around us. I hadn't noticed them at all. "Dad why are-" "We'll explain it later." Understanding I nodded.

But suddenly there was a rustling and shouting. Then it hit me like a blow. I had completely forgotten about Miles. "Y/N?!" I heard him shout. "Y/n where are you?" Then all of a sudden he stepped out from behind a bush he was laboriously pushing away. "Y/n where-." He froze when he saw me with the others. "Miles I'm sorry I-." "DEMON!" I startled as my mother started screaming. My father also had a scowl on his face that I didn't recognize from him. "QUARITCH!" He shouted and rushed towards him. Everything happened as if in slow motion. I could hardly realize it. "Hey what are you doing!!! Mom Dad leave him alone!" Terrified, I yelled out. I saw my father push him to the ground and tie him up. Miles eyes moved to me and our eyes met. Guilt was in his eyes.

"Miles?..."
