Jin - One Last Breath

Jin stared at the picture of you in his hands. His eyes filled with tears as memories of you and him filled his mind.

There you are, sitting beneath the willow tree. You look so perfect, asleep and with an open book on your lap. The gentle breeze playing with your hair and turning the pages of your book. I watched from a distance, trying to get myself to approach you and wake you up. I muster up all the courage I have and walk over to you.

Breathing steadily, I slowly nudge your arm with my hand. You stir, and I almost stop breathing when you gaze at me sleepily. "Jin...?" you breath out. My heart races and I can't speak, so I just nod. You stretch and sit up as you rub your eyes adorably. I hold myself back from pulling you into my arms and hugging you tightly. Oh I love you so much, _______. You don't even know.

'Our first meeting was perfect...' Jin bit his lip as his vision blurred and he tried to keep his tears from falling. He had loved you for so long, and he felt like his greatest accomplishment in his entire life was going over to you on that spring day and waking you up. That one moment led to many years of happiness and love afterwards.

After three months of being great friends, I finally got the nerve to confess my feelings and ask you out. And now, I'm getting ready for our first date. It's casual, a simple dinner at a well-known place, so I'm not dressed too fancy...I think. I glance at my watch. '5:30, time to go pick her up' I grin as I fix my hair one last time before heading out to my car.

It's a short drive to your place, only 4 minutes since I took a shortcut. I check my face in the mirror quickly. 'Fabulous...' I smirk and then chuckle to myself. I get out of my car and nearly skip to your door, but I manage to calm down and walk up normally.

I take a deep breath and raise my hand to knock when the door suddenly swings open. My breath catches in my throat as you stand in the doorway, wearing a simple light pink dress and your hair down. "You're beautiful..." I say, and you blush.

"I was worried I dressed up a little too much," you mumble as you fiddle with the ends of your dress. I shake my head and take your hand. "You're always beautiful, whether you dress up or not," I wink and you laugh.

"Shall we get started with our date now?" You smile brightly at me and I melt inside. Oh, I love you so much.

Filled with laughter, cheesiness, and a sweet kiss at the end, that first date was a big step towards a bright future. A tear rolled out of Jin's eye and dripped onto the photo. "You were so beautiful..." he choked out and continued his trip down Memory Lane.

Hats were flying, students were cheering loudly, and you and I were hugging each other happily. We had finally graduated college, and we'd also moved into our apartment together. It was an unforgettable moment, and I couldn't be happier.

We both laugh and cheer with everyone else. What a picture perfect moment.

After the graduation party, you and I walked hand in hand to our new home. You looked up at the night sky and gasped, "A shooting star! Quick, make a wish!" And you promptly closed your eyes and clasped your hands together. I chuckled and closed my eyes, before opening them again and gazing at you lovingly.
