HYUNJIN'S DIARY

Chan and I had a talk yesterday. He's a lot different than I expected. He's misunderstood. Everyone always sees him in a bad light because of something he can't control. I'm actually surprised. He fessed up about what happened to his parents. We had only met they day before that, yet it felt like he needed someone to be by his side. Someone who, in a sense would understand his "episodes." I don't know how the others treat him behind closed doors, but just from the talk we had, it definitely seemed like no one in his "pack" would even try to understand him. Maybe I'm overthinking it? Who knows. Maybe today will be different. Maybe I'll be able to talk to him freely.

"HYUNJIN!" Felix yelled, throwing a pillow at the deafened boy.

"WHAT!" Hyunjin yelled out as he ripped his headphone from his ear, almost taking his earring with it.

"Good, he's alive!"

"OBVIOUSLY! Didn't you see me writing!?"

"Whatchu writing about?" Felix asked, walking to his bed and hopping on, placing his hands behind his head as he laid down.

"Totally topic change. Just- things I told you about last night."

"Still can't believe he told you about that."

"He was venerable. And, I did tell him multiple times that he didn't need to tell me anything about it due to him being in that state of mind."

"You know. Not many people see Chan in that way. They've never been able to see the broken side of him, just the side that wants to screw with everyone's mind."

"Is that supposed to mean something?"
Hyunjin asked as he closed his diary.

"Maybe. After all, that drawing you did of him, it was of you seeing him in a peaceful manner. Not in his, evil, soul crushing, demonic like state. You saw him as someone who needed help, but wouldn't ask for it."

"You got that from a drawing?"

"Yes. My friends and family have always said I see things in a different light, and most times I end up being right. But with Chan, I've always felt like something was different from what we all normally see. Like, there was something deep and darker he was hiding within, waiting for the moment, or right person to just let it out."

"I guess I can agree that he might have something darker inside, but I don't think it's an evil darkness. More of a, sad darkness."

"Exactly! It's one that needed to be let out in the form of tears, not destruction!" Felix explained as he just up from his bed.

"Why do I feel like you have another scheme laid in your brain?"

"Because I do. There are students here that can feel when a connection is right between two people, or things, which ever. Maybe if you tried to get around Chan and just have a conversation, whether he is in his 'normal' state of mind, or his more, evil state, I can ask one of the students to see what they feel between you two! But there is a catch."
