Saturday came quite quickly and Leo was getting nervous to see Lia again. He sat in his bedroom on his bed, not wanting to go downstairs. Leo felt nervous, the time was currently 8:43am. Finn knocked on the door. "Come in" Leo says shakily. "You're not doing alright are you?" Finn asks, sitting next to Leo on his bed as Leo shakes his head. Finn holds out his hand and Leo puts his hand on top. "It's going to be okay, I promise. I know you haven't seen Lia in a while but she's still the same nice girl you saw a few years ago" Finn explains. "It's not that," Leo mumbles, Finn tilting his head looking at Leo. "I'm scared to meet that person Lia told you about, I also don't want to slip in front of them both" Leo describes tearing up a bit. "Hey, it's alright. I'm sure they will understand" Finn replies. "I hope so," Leo says, wiping his eyes, taking a deep breath.
The clock read 9:23am, Leo grew more nervous than earlier. Finn noticed his behaviour change and went to the living room and sat down next to him. Leo looked up at Finn and he pulled Leo in a hug. "I promise it's going to be alright, I know you get nervous meeting new people but I'm going to be there if you need me" Finn says and Leo nods into his shoulder. "Let's wipe those tears away and think about positive things" he adds smiling while drawing circles on Leo’s back which helps him calm down but start to fall asleep. Finn thought it was better if Leo had a small nap before Lia came over, he would have energy and should feel better when he woke up.
Finn heard a knock at the front door 30 minutes later and he rushed to open the door. "Hello stranger" Finn says as a joke. "Hello" Lia replies with someone hiding behind her. "Come in, Leo is sleeping at the moment but he should be up soon" Finn says as Lia walks in with the other person. "He won't bite sweetheart" Lia says to the smaller one behind her. "Sorry, he gets really shy around new people" Lia adds as they all make their way into the living room. "It's alright, Leo gets like that as well so I understand" Finn says as he takes a seat. "Do you want to introduce yourself, sweetheart?" Lia asks the smaller boy next to her as he slowly nods his head. "I um I'm O-Oliver" he says with a shaky voice. "Nice to meet you Oliver, I'm Finn" Finn replies with a bright smile. Finn could hear small cries from upstairs and panicked. "Sorry guys, I'm just going to check on Leo to see if he's okay" Finn rushes up the stairs into Leo's room to see him crying.
Finn makes his way into Leo's bedroom and picks him up and rocks Leo. "Sh sh it's okay, you're okay I promise. Finny is here" Finn says softly. "They are here aren't they?" Leo asks, as Finn nods. "Do you want to say 'hello' to them?" Finn says. "Can Lola come with me?" Leo mumbles, holding on tightly to her. "Of course she can" They both walked down stairs and made their way into the living room. "Hi Leo, are you doing alright?" Lia asks as he nods behind Finn. "I see you have an elephant stuffie, what's the name?" Lia says trying to create a conversation. "Lola," he mumbles. "That's a cute name" she replies smiling. Oliver slowly starts to appear and Leo continues to hide behind Finn. Little did Leo know that Oliver was also a little. "Leo it's alright I promise" Finn says as he nods moving away from behind Finn. Oliver and Leo stand near each other and Leo covers his face with his stuffie and Oliver tilts his head in confusion. "Mama, is he otay?" Oliver asks. Leo moved the stuffie from his face and tears streamed down his face. "Leo, are you alright?" Finn immediately kneels down, wiping his tears. Leo nodded and hugged Finn. "He's a little too?" Leo mumbles. "Is he okay, we can leave if it's a bother" Lia says. "It's alright, he's just shocked since he's never met another little before," Finn explains. "Do you want to go get your stuffies and show Oliver them all?" Finn asks. Leo let out a quick nod and ran up the stairs.
Leo came back downstairs with a basket full of stuffies. Oliver's eyes brightened up as he saw that the basket was overflowing with loads of different types of stuffies. "Tis one is my favourite" Leo shows Lola to Oliver. "Finny got her for mes" he added. "Dat one is cute" Oliver points to a dolphin stuffie. "I gots two of dat one" Leo says, finding the other one and passing it to Oliver. "You tan have it" "Weally?" Oliver says in shock as Leo nodded and smiled. "Tank ou" Oliver adds, rushing over to Lia. "Mama, wook what Leo give me" He says, showing the dolphin stuffie. "Oh wow sweetheart, that's amazing did you say thank you" Lia says smiling as Oliver nodded. Oliver waddled back over to Leo and they both sat on the floor playing with stuffies. They hosted a tea party with all the stuffies and made fake voices for them all.
The day went on and it was time for Oliver and Lia to leave. "Bye bye Oliver" Leo says as Oliver waves sleepily. "See you later Finn" Lia spoke. "Bye, thanks for coming over. We gotta plan something else soon" Finn says as they walk off and close the front door. "I miss Oliver, Finny" Leo mumbles rubbing his eyes. "Let's go to bed, okay" Finn says as he carries Leo up to bed and begins to fall asleep in his shoulder.
