I knew, my plan was dangerous, but Loki was my only hope to get home. I watched a few moments, so I knew, how Thor and Loki moved.
Thor was the warrior of the two; his privileges are his grand posture and raw strength, but his weapon is only for close combat... oh, not only for close combat. Every now and then, he threw the hammer and it would magically return to him.
Now Loki was more the assassin; fighting with only a dagger and throwing knifes. But knowing sorcery, he had many good cards to be played.
I got up and shortly looked around for some sort of weapon I could use. I found a long, straight log. I looked back to the fighting men and it seemed that Loki must have guessed what I was planning, shook slightly his head no. I nodded as answer and pointed at one tree with low branches. Loki dodged the thrown hammer and used his trickery to distract Thor from me, nodding.
Quickly I ran to the tree, using the branch to swing me up. I found my balance and prepared me for the jump. As soon I was ready, I imitated the howl of an owl, giving Loki a thumb up. Again, he nodded and began to lead his opponent in my direction.
When Thor was directly underneath the branch I sat on, I used the stick, I had found, to hit him hard on his back, yanking my improvised weapon back up to me.
Thor turned around angry and confused, while Loki took his chance to make at least a dozen clones of himself. It was funny to feel the wave of frustration and surprise rolling over me and couldn't resist repeating the hitting-progress. Again the dumb prince turned his back to the Lokis, who all together shot a ball of dark green energy at him.
Thor roared more in anger and surprise than pain and began to spell something in a foreign language. << NOOO!!! >> This as Loki and by the sound of his voice it can't be good.
Out of instincts, I jumped down, landing on his shoulders and causing him to buckle. But I was to late; he had already finished his brambling.
A cloud of red smoke surrounded me and all went black.
...
When I came to me again, something had changed.
I looked around confused, realizing I was still laying on Thor. But something was strange. There, where Thor was, was now an unconscious golden Labrador with a red cape.
I looked down at me, realizing, that I had white fur with orange-golden stripes and claw-reinforced paws. I stood up and sniffled at the dog. It kind of smelled familiar. Anyway... I looked around and found a jet-black cat with a green cape laying on the ground as well. It was awake and slowly tried to get up. I went over to the cat and wanted to help it, when an, all too familiar, voice shrieked << GO AWAY YOU MONSTER!!!! I AM NOT YOUR DINNER!!! I AM A GOD!!! >> I froze and sat down, eyeing the cat suspiciously. << Uhm... Loki... Is that you? You sound... scared... >> Its head shot up, reveling emerald eyes
<<... Erm... I AM NEVER SCARED, YOU MEWLING QUIM!!!! >> He meowed angrily after being caught. << Yup, that's totally you... Lo-kitty >> I just couldn't let this get by, ehehehehe... The tom-cat's shot me a death-glare and hissed at me, on which I couldn't help but to start laughing, because it sounded so funny, when not even sweet.
Loki
This cannot be real. A mere mortal is laughing at me!
And now she does not even look like a mortal human anymore. How did this happen? I was utterly confused and my gaze darted around, looking for any clue to help my memory. She annoyed me more with every second I had to spend with her. But her laughing was the most annoying feature of all. It was high pitched, but there was a deep unnerving and rough growling under the human voice that made my ears bleed. As she finally stopped, another creature caught me attention. It was silently growling and tried to stand up. The creature had slightly long, wavy, golden fur and was kind of built like a wolf. Only smaller and it looked less strong than a wolf. I decided to ignore it and to be grateful, that there is not any bilchsteim (A/N: kind of looks like a dinosaur. Huge, scaly and large antlers) nearby.
The voice of Thor was suddenly heard << Did it work? >> I already wanted to give him a sarcastic remark, as the mortal creature jumped up, roaring like Hel and then pinned the wolf-like animal onto the ground. << YES. It did 'work' you dumbass!! What the HELL have you done to us!!? >> Sally yelled/roared at the creature.
Finally, the memory came back. How we together fought against Thor, using sly trickery. And how this dumb oaf started to utter the spell, which turned each mortal, jötun or asguardian into their spirit-animals. I made my way over to the two foreign creatures and looked at Thor angrily. He looked at me with those terrified crystal blue eyes << Brother, please help me! This monster wants to eat me! >> Oh this moment was so glorious. The GOD of thunder begging for mercy. This is my best day ever!
I used my sorcery again, to end Sally my thoughts < Just play along, I have an idea > She nodded slightly and started to growl threating. << Brother, please! I shall do everything you want me to do! Just tame this MONSTER!! >> That was, what I wanted. << Not your brother! >> I shot back at him and then pretended to hesitate. << Before I utter my terms, WHY did you tried to use magic, when you are NOT trained or used to it? I give one minute to think about it >> Being so powerful felt so good. And my slave is surprisingly strong for a mortal.
During the waiting, I examined myself. I was much smaller than Sally, but we had quiet the same body composition. My fur was as black as my hair and shimmered in a silver tone, when the sunlight hit it. I had a long, bushy tale and slim features. My paws had retractable, sharp claws.
The minute was gone and I witnessed my attention back to my so-called brother. << So, brother, have you thought about it? >> He did not answer immediately and after long hesitation, he only stuttered << .....Uhm.... >> By the gods << Have you even thought about it? >> And here we go again << ....Erm.... >> Oh please! Really!?? By Odin's beard! I should have known it. With a frustrated sigh, I gave in.
<< Listen well bro- Thor. When Sally let you free and I withdraw your spell. >> Dramatic pause << You will leave us be for the next few days. And tell your father to let her alone for the rest of her short life; GOT IT!? >> He only nodded and I sent her a commanding look. She let go of Thor and remained still.
I easily turned us back to normal and glanced around, deep in thoughts.
Sally's voice interrupted them though << Are we done here? >> Thor only shook his head yes and left.
