Nothing happens until the festival. It's me, sam, Emily, John, sarah, and Henri. Sam is trying to convince me to go on the hayride with them. "Come on Ava please. It will be fun."
"I'm good." He pouts but leaves.
"I heard you guys won." Henri says, as a way to break the silence.
"Yeah, I didn't think we would. At half time it was twenty to zero we had zero. I still don't see how we won."
"You have a good team.""You have no idea. Most of them are graduating this year. I might not even play next year."
"Why?"
"Because then I'll be one of the only ones left from this year, and I can't stand that."
"You have to remember to do what you love."
"I agree with you on that, but I just feel like there's a bigger challenge out there."
"Like what?"
"This is going to sound insane and you don't have to believe me. I don't believe it. Ever since I was little I would have different people in my dreams. The most common has always been this boy. And he's been locked by an alien race. I don't know how much I believe that, but if it's true then I guess none of us will have a choice besides fighting. And i want in on it." His eyes widen. "What's wrong?" That's the second time that's happened tonight. The first time was when him and Sam were talking about conspiracy's. I still can't believe same had the newest copy of his magazine on him. Wait is Henri and John aliens? That would explain things. Like as to why I feel more drawn to them i guess? So I ask, "are you and John aliens?" And then I get a vision of a much younger Henri and John boarding a ship on the planet I often see destroyed. I stumble back.
"Are you ok?" He asks,
"I'm fine. I just get these visions I guess sometimes." His eyes widen once again. What the hell is going on around here?
"What did you see?"
I want to lie, I should lie, but I don't. "A younger version of you and John boarding a ship on a planet that I often see destroyed."
He takes me by the shoulder and drags me somewhere were no people are at. "You're right." I must have looked afraid because then he says, "the only reason why I'm telling you any of this is one: i know you won't turn us in, and two: you're the fates reincarnated."
"What?" I ask, in disbelief.
"Listen, on my planet there were these people called the elders. As they died they were replaced and so on. Anyway when the originals were formed according to mythes and legends there was this girl. About your age maybe a little older. The pictures that they have look just like you. It is said that when they were chosen so was a girl to help guide them. To help protect them, and that she will rise again when needed. I believe that girl is you. You are fate. You are their protecter."
I shake my head. "How I can't fight, and I don't have any super natural abilities."
"But you do. The visions. Seeing people in dreams. Knowing things that no one else does. I bet you that boy you said you see most often is your mate. It's nine isn't it?"
"How did you know?"
"Because I'm the legend the girl had a mate and the mate was the ninth elder. Also don't tell anyone."
"I don't think anyone would believe me if I did, but I won't. And I know I shouldn't be making demands here, but when the time comes I'm fighting and you can't stop me."
"Good. I didn't expect anything less." Then they come out of the woods, and me and Sam go home. I don't tell him anything about the conversation with henri. He told me not to tell anyone so I won't.
Henris pov
I drive John home. I'll tell him all about it when we get there. Ava looks just like the girl in the pictures, and it doesn't help the fact that believe she's in love with nine even though she didn't say it. Her eyes were almost like looking into the universe it's self even though they were the lightest shade of grey there is. I pull into the drive way and we enter the house. "John, there's something I need to tell you."
"Yeah." He says, sitting down.
"Remember the girl I tell you about that helped out the original elders?" He nods. "I believe that's Ava reincarnated."
"Are we moving?"
"No, if anything you're safer around her. Just be careful. I don't know if she'll get legacies, but if she does you call me immediately."
"I will."
"Good."
Ava's pov
I lay down on my bed when we get home. That's a lot. I can't be the girl from the legend could I? And then I have a vision. I'm back on the destroyed planet, and there's this girl that looks just like me all the way down to the scar on my stomach that she's showing off. She's talking to a tall man with brown hair and brown eyes. She jumps up and wraps her legs around his waist kissing his check. My guess is that the guy is the ninth elder. "Really? Come on guys!" A girl says, her necklace is the loric symbol for seven. So she must be the seventh elder. The legend girl jumps down.
"Thales, you're no fun."
"Yeah yeah loridas I suck I know. We have a meeting come on!" They both start laughing and she rolls her eyes. And then the vision ends. I should tell Henri about it. Nah he doesn't need to know. Then I go to sleep. I don't see nine or the others. Instead I see a girl. The girl from the visions. The girl that looks just like me.
"Who who are you?" I ask, she has a short shirt in showing off her scars and shorts. She's not afraid to hide who she is. I wish I was like that.
"I have a few names. The lorics called me fate, the elders called me Anna, and loridias called me universe. Pick your poison."
"Anna, whats going on?"
"You are me reincarnated. You're ready."
"For what?"
She smirks, "you'll see, and give the new loridias, i believe he goes by nine, my love. And tell pitticaus, I believe he's four, to not get himself killed. The one I knew could be a real idiot at times. And tell thalas, seven, when you see her that she needs to loosen up. And cleobulus, six, to be the best fight there is. Tell Solon, five, that I'll see him in hell. Tell bias, eight, that I can't wait to see him again. And ra, ten, that she's nothing like her grandpa. Thats all." With that I wake up, and they're planets in my room. I force myself to calm down and they go away. Sam walks in. I hold my head like I'm sick. I need to get to Henri.
"My head is about to split open. Can you tell coach for me." I groan,
"Ok. Feel better."
