HIS LIFE

I live in a box

a loosely screwed square
with a vase on top.

I've wasted my candles
keeping the dark away

I live there willingly

willfully ignorant of my stench
and lost hygiene

facing north or south
does it really matter?

my legs huddled,
my arms hugging the tugged in legs
i feel numb

still digging my ways,
through keyhole tunnels.
The box feel tighter,
my edges need trimming,
or the box is shrinking
I am not sure

the screen is on
always

I write pages without ink
yet i see words waving,
flickering,
as if i have stared for too long

a looping twilight
running nightmares
that end each day
as I wake up to do it
again, and again

I live in the box
& I forgot why.

After 15 minutes, i find myself in front of ASR's cabin.

" Khushi? Are you okay? I heard what transpired few minutes back." Asked Aditya, when he saw me in front of the cabin.

" Yes I'm ok now. Earlier i was nervous but not now." I replied.

" That's good. I have a meeting with the investors so i won't be there in the briefing. Is it ok with you?" He asked.

" Off course it will be. All the best for the meeting." I replied.

" You too" and he went away. I sighed and knocked and after a crisp come in i entered the cabin.

" I believe the song ended well , didn't it?" He taunted.

"Well here's what happened in last week and these are upcoming event and promotional campaign lined up for the next. 5 out of 7 influencer are ready to collaborate with us. Today me and my team will set all the requirements for that. One of the selected influencer do not do paid promotion so she's out of the list, and the other one is not agreeing on the paycheck, so i guess we have to meet with her personally to make the agreement work." I said it in a go, ignoring the sarcastic remarks of his.

" Few television stars like Drashti dhami , Daljit kaur, have shown interest to wear our collection in the ITA awards whereas the rising Indian k-pop star, Shriya Lenka's team has ordered 2 clothes for her press conference. So after they will appear in their respective places in our dresses, we'll release a press release and have a huge social media coverage for the same." I gave him a little more insight.
