Chapter 7

The retreatment center was nothing that Stephanie, Lila, Georgia, and Fred expected. They imagined something glittery and beautiful, like a palace or castle. This was nothing of the sort.

The retreatment center was more of an abandoned Initium Era prison. This was hell compared to the rest of the street; tall shimmery buildings, ginormous plants, and more.

The center was dark grey, with tall spiraling towers that looked like thorns, this was the building of every child's nightmares.

"Is this what anyone was expecting?" asked Fred, everyone shook their heads including Lila. "Well," started Stephanie half-heartedly, "let's go inside!"

As the four went inside, they saw unimaginable things. The darkness seeped through the hallway; lights flickered on and off. They heard noises that sounded like screaming in the distance. But worst of all, smeared on the walls was blood.

"Umm..." Georgia said, terrified. The four teens all cowered in terror, slowly tip-toeing down the hall. That's when they saw him.

Ahh-phoo! Ah-phoo... Stephanie, Lila, Georgia, and Fred heard loud heavy breathing. They followed the bloody halls and into a large all-white room. There was a desk with robot parts on it, large books on technical parts, and plans for the city.

In the middle of the large room was a tall, ginormous robot, hunched over, breathing heavily. The four children heard the robot talking, over a communication device.

"BRING THEM TO ME! THE FOUR CHILDREN CANNOT LIVE! THEY KNOW TOO MUCH!" The robot shouted into what looked like a modern walkie-talkie. "I-I I will get them to you as soon as I can, sir! I just need to find the escapees..."

The giant robot stopped talking and as the four were trying to escape, Georgia accidentally dropped her digi-phone.

CLANG! The sound of the falling digi-phone banged against the floor, and the children's faces fell. The giant robot turned around. It wasn't a robot, but a cyborg. The four recognized his face as Jeremey Higgins.

Stephanie, Lila, Georgia, and Fred gasped as Higgins saw them. "Lila?" he asked himself as the four children ran. They ran far, far away from Jeremey Higgins and the retreatment center. As they stopped running Lila couldn't believe that her uncle, was a cyborg. And he was after them.
