Lunch Together

   Kara POV:

   I think I'm going to be more bold with Lena, for example. Flirt, like in an innocent yet not so innocent way?-I don't really know, but she's so amazing and I would not forgive myself if I didn't even try my chances with her.

  I made sure to pick up Lenas coffee, and when I did I drew a little heart on the cup. And if she asked about it I would make it obvious it was me, but pretend it was the barista. You know? Anyway I should hurry now, don't want her coffee to be cold and get me fired!

  Lena POV:

   The more I think about work, the more I think about Kara. And I think about work A lot. So now I don't know if I should shoot my shot with her or not, I mean I am her boss. Maybe she doesn't want to date her boss? I wouldn't blame her, I mean I usually don't really appreciate office romance. Just as I'm thinking this there's a gentle knock on my office wall, and what do you know. My beautiful personal assistant, she smiles as she walks towards me and places a coffee on the coaster. "Hello Lena, I was wondering if you were free for lunch? I know since I'm your assistant I know your schedule, but I don't know if you need to do anything personal later so yeah!"

She explains nervously making me blush and smile at her cuteness. "Yes I am free, where do you plan on going?" I ask, she looks at me with a little bit of surprise and a smile. "Oh well I was thinking noonans, but im happy with anywhere!" I nod and take a sip of my coffee, when I pick it up there is a little heart drawn on it in blue ink, not the same black marker used to write names. I glance at her, "Was this you by any chance?" I ask, she smiles a little then bites her lip to stop making me a little unfocused. "What may you be talking about?" She asks with a little humor and shyness in her voice. It was her. "Nothing, Kara. I'm going to get back to work, I'll let you know if you're needed. She nods with a smile and walks off, I can't help but see the noticeable blush left on her face.

-2 hours later, still Lena's POV:

  I've finished up most of my work and glance at the clock, it's around lunch. I smile knowing I'm going to go to noonans with Kara, I pick up my phone and send her a text saying, "Time for Noonans?(:" After a few seconds I get a reply, "Already ahead of you, I'm waiting in the lobby. x" She sent kisses.. This is good right? She's not just being friendly? Well I don't have time to think of that right now, I'm heading to the lobby and see Kara sitting down on a chair reading a book. It was 'Alice in Wonderland' I smile and grab the same copy from my bag, "Looks like we're more alike than I thought." I say with a grin. She turns quickly and looks at me and the book I'm holding, she stands up and shoots me a smile. "Lena, hi! What a coincidence." I nod, mirroring her smile.

"Lets go?" I ask and she nods. We walk out of the building and decide to walk to noonans instead of getting a ride, it was a nice day and a pretty fast walk. When we get there we find a good table and get comfy, then she speaks up. "Just so you know, people have underestimated how much I can eat since forever." I smirk, "Oh game on." We laugh and order our food, she was a pretty heavy eater. But that just made me admire her more, how can she keep such an amazing figure if she ate like this all the time? She must have an amazing workout I suppose. Then she leans close and whispers in my ear, "Are you a lightweight or can we get wine?" She laughs as she pulls away making me to as well. "I could drink a bottle of scotch and be fine, I could go for some wine." I wink at her, she blushed and looked down for a second. "Great, cause I haven't had a drink since game night." She says with a slight laugh and grin, I nod with a smile. "I had a glass of bourbon a few hours ago." I snicker at myself as she looks at me with a surprised and humorous face. "How can you drink on the job? I tried once a year ago and got too paranoid that someone could smell it.." She says with embarrassment in her voice, "Easy." I say and grab some freshener from my purse, I grab her arm and lean close to her face by her ear I could hear her breath hitch. "Just spray some of this on your arms and neck, then have a mint." I whisper and spray some on her wrist, then lean back looking at her with a smirk as she's all red and stunned. She then looks at me and gulps, she fake coughs then smiles fixing her posture, "Of course, why didn't I think of that?" She asks nervously with a chuckle.
