Ch 23: Fatherhood and weddings

Monty's P.O.V

It's been a few years and Rosa and I got engaged a year after the babies were born. plus my hair got long since my upgrades became more advanced as time went by, so I gave myself a half hair bun with dreads. speaking of those three little scamps, I was playing hide and seek with them while Rosa was baking some goods for us at her bakery. I looked for the children everywhere. "I will find you! I know you're over here somewhere." I heard giggling from them, and I knew they would be close by. so I snuck up to their hiding place, and was about to catch em, but then I noticed they were gone. boy did they catch me first alright. They jumped on me and they laughed. "Ah! no! tiny hands! my only weakness!" I pretended to act dead in front of them, and Candy poked my nose as she spoke. "I think we killed him." I then surprised them grabbing all three of them as I gator rolled us across the main stage. I then let go and me and the kids laughed having so much fun together. "No fair Daddy! you got us back!" Kit spoke as she sat up. Apollo spoke back at her as he stood on his feet. "he's like a ninja! because gators like me, candy, and Pops always sneak good!" Candy rolls her eyes looking at her brother weirdly. "You're only part Gator Apollo. you got Mama's ears." Apollo snarls at his sister. "well, you got Mama's wolf Tail, and Kit has Pop's Gator tail!" I stopped them before things escalated. "Alright you guys! no messing about each other's looks. you kids are special to me and your mother. Looks don't matter. what matters is personality and talent. one day, you kids will take over our places as the new stars." Kit looks up at me and asks. "But will you and mommy still be around us?" I knelt down to her and sat her on my knee. "of course, we'll still be around my little hatchling. but we'd be retired from doing shows when it be your turn to shine. it's always best to leave it to the new generation to shine bright like galaxies in the night." my kids hugged me and I always love being a dad, despite of how big of a responsibility it can be. we hear Rosa call out from the third floor. "Darlings! cookies are ready!" the kids ran to eat some cookies. I only walked because I felt tired after chasing them around nearly all day. I walked up to Rosa and kissed her. I looked at the cookies and they were the ones I never get tired of since they are my all-time favorite. "Mmmm! S'mores cookies. don't mind if I do! thanks sugar." I Grabbed a few, and the kids grabbed some too. I looked at them and cleared my throat at them. they looked at me before they could munch on those good ass cookies. "What do you say to your mother when she offers you a snack?" they smiled and they spoke. "Thank you, Mama!" Rosa smiled and responded. "you're welcome my dears! you're learning well!" I smiled and pulled her close to me. I pulled down my shades and spoke to her. "Thanks to you, manners are key." I winked at her, and she blushed with a giggle. I always love it when she is like that around me. cute as ever. I looked at Rosa and spoke to her. "How are you and Chica coming along with the wedding planning?" Rosa looked at me with a smile. "Well, I already made the dress myself, and we decided to have the wedding take place at the atrium." I smiled and agreed to that since the atrium is the biggest area of the mega pizza plex. I know lots of people will be here for the ceremony. I was nervous myself since none of us had a wedding before. not until now. 

about a month later, the wedding is now happening. despite the wedding starting around 4 PM, I was glad we have time to get ready on time. I got my tux on thanks to Gregory giving us proper sizes. Chica is chosen as the maid of honor, Apollo is the ring bearer, kit is the flower girl, and Candy, Roxy, are the other two bridesmaids. Sun, moon, and Freddy became the groomsmen. I had to have Freddy as my best man. Freddy came up to me and smiled. "Are you nervous Monty?" I adjusted my tie and looked at him. "a little. I can tell there will be a full house out there during the ceremony. but....what if Rosa changed her mind and gets cold feet?!" Freddy calms me down and told me not to panic. I can tell by his expression that the wedding will be a breeze. I sighed and it helped me realize there isn't anything to worry about. so, we head to the stage and as we got to the atrium, it was full of people and news reporters. I gulp starting to sweat. I stood by Gregory who of course would be doing the ceremony. Gregory looks at me and spoke. "you ready for this buddy?" I smiled and looked at him. "yeah. I am. I wonder what Rosa looks like in a wedding dress...she didn't want to show me until the ceremony." Gregory chuckled and puts his hand onto my shoulder. "don't you worry buddy. you'll soon see her all in white." I chuckled back and nodded. "Y-Yeah...sure..."
