Ch 11: Hauntings of the past

Monty couldn't sleep. he has been having nightmares lately. it was that very night when he had the worst one out of all of them.

Monty was losing his self-control. full of anger and malice. he was tearing Bonnie apart hearing his pleas. "Monty! no! please! stop! NO!!" Monty throws bonnie across the room as Bonnie sobs in pain. "Monty....why?..." all of a sudden, as Monty starts to go back normal his vision blurred as Bonnie's cries switched to Rosa's voice. Monty regains his vision, and instead of seeing Bonnie being destroyed, he sees Rosa. she was sobbing. Monty was shaken. he sobs in anger and guilt "Rosa!?...No! I-...I didn't....I'm so sorry!....please! stay with me! I can't lose you like this!" he holds her close to his chest, and she melts like a pile of sludge. Monty jumped in fear until he looks up and sees Zombified ghost bonnie again. "alone!....and done for!..." as bonnie laughs in a glitchy way like it's a funny joke, Monty wakes up yelling. 

"ROSA!!" he panted looking around his room until he hears a knock from his door room. Gregory calls out to him from the outside. "Monty! you okay in there? I heard screaming." Monty finally calms down from the sheer panic and replies back. "yeah! I'm fine! don't worry about me!" Gregory was beginning to worry for the Gator. he has never seen him this feared before. the usual tough guy of the group has now has a fear of losing the one he cares most in his life. he gets up since it was now time for him to be checked at in parts and services. he walks with Gregory and as they got to parts and service, Gregory ends up asking why Monty has been acting this way. 

"Hey big guy. something must be bothering you lately. you been feeling scared of something for the past few days. it's okay if ya don't want to tell me bud." Monty sighs while he was being check for any messed-up circuits and programming errors. he knows telling Gregory first about the truth would help him tell the others later on when he is ready to do so. "Well, ever since Rosa came here to live with us, I-....I been haunted by Bonnie." Gregory stops and looks up at Monty. "Monty. I know all about what really happened to Bonnie. I saw one of the notes years ago that he was last seen at gator golf. I knew it was you this whole time. and I know you never meant to hurt the poor guy. and don't worry. I didn't tell Freddy about it. none of them know about it. they just thought he went missing and was found years later from the wreckage of the burning building trying to find you guys." Monty was shocked. he didn't know what to say at this point. he then explains to Gregory about Rosa. "Well, the day when I was trying to find a way to confess my feelings for Rosa, Bonnie's ghost told me there is more than what she is. or something like that." Gregory thought about it and realized something. "Oh yeah. the French company that brough her here, they are coming back here to check how she is doing, and... wanting to talk to me about the history of everything." Monty was confused yet curious to know. "What do you mean everything?" Gregory shrugged. "I'm not sure. but all I know so far is she has to do with the connections of the old pizzerias before you guys came. I don't know what it is, but I will find out by tomorrow." Monty understood and got up after the diagnostics were finished. Monty spoke to Gregory as they walked. "I know Freddy and the others warned Rosa about me. I'm just so scared of losing her and not being able to see her again. because bonnie said so. and yet Rosa decides to stay by my side. every time I walk anywhere, I keep seeing him. like he has come back to haunt me. but I'm glad you knew it was all an accident." Gregory looks up at Monty. "I know how much she really means to you. but you're not going to lose her. she chose to stay with you because she loves you. they're not just your friends monty. they are family. and you can tell them about bonnie when you want to. I know right now isn't the time to tell them. but you can tell them when you are ready. and don't let those ghostly hauntings get to you. just ignore them and be yourself. it's all what any of us can do." Monty smiles finally feeling back to his old self. "thanks kid. ya know, despite of what ya did years ago at me, I finally realize ya ain't so bad after all now that you matured as an adult." 

Gregory smiled back and nods. "yeah big guy. everyone makes mistakes. and it's never too late to tell the truth and fix things for the better. no matter how long the years go by." Monty heads back to Rockstar row, and he sees Rosa walk by, and runs up to her and he hugs her tightly as he sobs. "Rosa! I'm so glad you're alright. I was starting to worry..." Rosa was wide eyed at the unexpected move he just did. "Monty...." Monty lets go after hugging and lovingly looks at her. "Sorry. I...I wanted to make sure you're alright." Rosa smiles at him. "of course, I'm alright. why wouldn't I be?" Monty rubs the back of his neck as he frowns in sadness. Rosa starts to become concerned. "what's wrong monty?" Monty knew he had to tell her of what had happened to Bonnie. so, he told her the whole story about it. Rosa was shocked about it. she didn't know Bonnie was such a great friend to everyone, and knowing about the tragedy, she wasn't angry at all towards Monty. she knows it was an accident as well. Monty sighed in relief and hugs her again. "I'm glad you understand Rosa...Thank you." Rosa smiled and hugs him back. Monty is now gaining more confidence in himself again. now he can get back to what he truly wants to do in his life. from now on, he is willing to do whatever it takes to do the right thing.
