I do like it. It just feels like a majority of this ship is Peril obsessing over Clay. 

I believe he loves her back, but probably not as much as Peril loves him.

 He does seem to care about her, he worries about her well-being. He offered her to go to Jade Mountain academy, which is clearly him looking out for her.

She also, obviously, looks out for him. If anyone hurts him, she would kill them no doubt. 

8/10 I like it, I ship it.
