Chapter 13

Hyakushiki's pov;
"How do you know my name?" Aria's translation came through my phone. Her voice was a little scratchy and her face expression has fear and caution on it. The heart monitor on Aria was starting to rise.

"I saw it in your journal, and B/n confirmed I was right about your name." I say, before I slowly walk towards her so I don't scare her more.

She stuttered at first. "M-my journal?" She looked uncomfortable and her breathing got pretty heavy when I got pretty close to her.

I stop in my tracks so I don't make her more uncomfortable than she already is. I reached in my pocket and pulled out the journal. "I'm sorry for reading your journal, but we needed some information. " I said. She didn't say anything to me when she heard the translation. "We're not apart of Sliver Corner, if that's what you're worried about." When the translation spoke in her language, I could see some relief in her face but her eyes were still filled with caution and fear. I don't blame her, I would too if I were in her shoes. "I apologize if we scare you or already did, that was never the intention we have. We mean no harm to you or to your brother, we're trying to help.".

She spoke and my phone picked it up. "Where am I?".

"You're at an all male prison on a island away from the main lands. You're safe here, and no one will harm in here." I said.

She talks in a sarcastic tone."You say that after saying all male prison, that sure makes me feel safe.".

Some guards and the inmates chuckled at her translated words.

I chuckled. "Okay, you actually got me there. But I'm being serious, we have thousands to millions of highly trained prison guards. You'll be safe in this prison. " Aria looked curious about something. "You seem curious about something, you can ask questions and I'll answer them honestly." I pointed at the chair near her bed. "May I sit?" She looks at the chair then back at me and nodded. I walk over to the chair and sat down. Aria leans away from me and her face expression had pain written on it and she gripped onto her rib cage tighter. Her breathing was still heavy. "Are you in tons of pain?" She nods to the translation then spoke.

"It's also painful to breathe including difficult.".

I look back to doctor Okina. "Is there anything you can do for the pain and difficult painful breathing she's having?".

"Yes, ma'am." Okina said, before he walks out of the room.

I look back at Aria. "Our doctor will get something for your pain. Just bare with it a little longer." I say, before she nods to the translation. "You looked like you wanted to ask a question earlier, would you like to ask it?" I asked, trying to get her mind off her pain.

She spoke and her translation pops up on my phone. "You knew mine and my brothers story, so what's yours and this prisons story?".

"There's really not much to our story, other than our government ordering us three years ago to stay put and keep things under control here with the inmates. Our prison holds very dangerous inmates, our government can't have inmates escape from here..Me, the staff, and the inmates don't know what happened on the main lands, other than basic information.. Me and the staff of Nanba were ordered yesterday by the government to go and find survivors on the main lands. Nanba prison is going to be a new rescue camp, since the last rescue camp was overrun with walkers." I said.
