Chapter 24

Kenshirou's pov;
"Should we get high up?" I asked.

"Not yet," She said.

"Don't just stand there you idiots, shoot the mother fuckers!" A guy with tattoos on his face yelled, before they open fired. Three dogs were killed, and that signaled the others to attack, the Sliver corner group were knocked down to the ground, and they were being ripped apart. The painful screams made Aria cover her ears, as we watch this terrible event happen. Some of the dogs were eating Sliver corner while a hand full were eating their dead pack members.

"Sliver corner isn't the smartest group out there. But then again they were going to die anyways." Aria said.

"So what now?" I asked.

"We need to get high up, before they see us." She said. We back away from the corner of the building and looked around.

I look up to a fire escape, and found the ladder folded up. "Aria the fire escape, I'll give you a lift up and you pull down the ladder.".

"Okay," She said. I get underneath the ladder, and put my hands together. She grabbed onto my shoulders and put her right foot into my hands. I lift her up as high as I could so she could grab it. "Got it!" She pulls the ladder down, and it hits the ground with a bang. "Shit,".

I hear the dogs growling down the street. "Aria, grab the ladder and climb!" I said. She quickly grabbed onto the ladder and climbed up pretty high.

"Hurry, Kenshirou." She said with worry. I grabbed onto the ladder and climbed up quickly to where Aria is. I look down below, to the dogs running around the corner and sniffing around where me and Aria were. They stopped sniffing around and growled as they looked up at us. They begin barking, there was blood all over their mouths. "We should climb up and get to the roof. They won't leave if their eyes are on us.".

"Alright." I said. She went back to climbing up before I followed behind her until we got to the roof. "I guess the only thing to do is to wait.".

"What about curfew?" She asked.

"We still have time before curfew." I said, before we sit down on the roof.

"So how long have you been a prison guard?" She asked.

"Huh?".

"Sorry, I'm trying to make conversation, so i don't get bored." She said.

I chuckled. "Its okay... I was a prison guard for a long time, I use to be a police dog trainer.".

"You? A dog trainer?.. Okay, I see it now." She said. I laughed at the response. "Sooo out of curiosity do you have a crush on Hyakushiki? Orrr my brother by any chance?".

It took me off guard and my face actually got hot. "Uh.".

She laughed. "So I am right, you do have a crush on one of them?".

"What about you? How's asking Jyugo out coming along?" I shot back.

"How did you-".

"Sweetheart, I'm a prison guard, I see this type of stuff." I said.

"Well you can't see much." She said, pointing at the side where my eye patch is.
