Sophie took a shaky breath as she stood at the gate of her new school.
Foxfire, seriously? That's the name of her new school? She'd heard that name somewhere before...
She scanned her memory searching for a connection.
And that's when she realised.
Her new school was named after a fungus...
But not just any fungus oh-no Foxfire was named after a glowing fungus.
ofcourse it was...
She scrunched her nose in disgust... until she remembered she was surrounded by other students. Sophie quickly de-scrunchified and forced herself to walk through the gate.
It seemed ok I mean... it was pretty damm posh, but it definitely wasn't her scene. Because of the expensive rent her parents had had to pay in they're old town they had picked everything up and moved near this family friend Sophie had never heard of. Alden... something?
Anyway, she'd spent the night before deciding what she was going to wear. She'd finally decided on straight jeans, a t-shirt, and an over-sized red hoodie. She liked over-sized things they were easier to hide in.
She made her way over to a bench and sat down. Her parents had told her to socialize (she shuddered at the thought) but she was up to a good part of her book, and it could NOT wait. She was currently reading the 7th book in a series called Keeper of the Lost cities (sorry I couldn't help myself). It was such a good series! And, she felt like she could really relate to the main character.
Not that she knew much about fighting an evil organization or anything...
She read for about 10 minutes before she was rudely interrupted by the bell. She had to sprint sprint to get to her first class, P.E. Sophie wasn't what you would necessarily call coordinated...
Ok, she was completely the opposite.
"Hello class." The teacher called to the group of kids.
"Good morning Sir Bronte." they all replied in unison. And the look he gave her made her suspect P.E was NOT going to be her favourite subject.
