I dont really have anything to say so.... I'm just gonna get straight into it-

Recap-

I scrambled back to my sleeping bag, also managing to grab my jersey back and wrapping it around me.

Biana pounced at me for it but I ran away just in time. She chased me all over the room, and then as I was dodging her latest attempt, I tripped and fell... onto Keefe.

Sophie POV

I landed in Keefe's arms, with a strong sense of deja vu.

"You know," He said as he practically cradled me. "Your pretty good at falling."

I couldn't move.

All I could think about was how hot he looked right then. (oh my god, what the hell is going on!?)

Is it just me or is he getting closer.... I thought.

I spun around out of his arms, slamming onto the ground.

(Yes I had to ruin the moment, this is KOTLC after all, nothings THAT easy, but just be patient with me, k?)

"I- I need to go to the bathroom." I mumbled. You know, I was getting pretty good at running away.

-------Time skip-------

After a lengthy time of looking for a bathroom, I eventually found one. It was just as big and luxurious as the rest of the house. I ran the tap and splashed my face, which made my make-up come off (sorry Biana), but make-up wasn't my thing anyway.

I rapped my jersey tighter around myself as I walk back to the room. I was about halfway back when I noticed how beautiful the sky looked as it set over one of the shinning lakes around Everglen's extensive estate.

I walk outside and sat, with my legs up, on a boulder by the lake. It wasn't like I wanted to go back inside right then anyway.

I sat there for a while before I heard a voice behind me.

"Hey." Biana said, Somehow managing to be graceful a she and sat next to me on the boulder.

She kept her eyes on the lake. "What was that about?"

I dropped my head to my knees. "I don't know."

Biana nodded slowly. "Ok, well, how about you tell me what was going on when you two froze before Base Quest?"

"Ok," I took a deep breath. "this kinda isn't the first time I've ran away from him..." I winced.

Biana's head shot up.

"you see," I continued. "the other day, I was reading in the corridor, and he came up to me and we started talking. It was really awkward though and I went to leave to go to my next class... and tripped. He caught me like he did just before, I dunno, I guess I just panicked, and well, you know the rest..."

Biana blew out a big breath. "I have an idea about what could be going on..."

"What?" I pushed when she didn't elaborate.

"That's the thing," She sighed. "I can't tell you. This is something you have to figure out on your own."

I felt my shoulders drop.

"Listen," She said, waiting for my eyes to meet hers. "Just... talk to him, ok? Just talk, and see where it goes, who knows, you might surprise yourself."

you might surprise yourself... What was that supposed to mean?

"I'm gonna go back inside." She told me. "Come back in when your ready."

I gave her a weak nod, and she went back inside.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't know how long I was out there for.

I felt horrible for running away again, I wanted to apologize, but I didn't know how... words weren't exactly my strong suit, actually, I don't think I had a strong suit. I was just a clumsy wreak who always managed to ruin everyth-

I heard a snap of a twig behind me.

I whipped my head around to see a familiar  blonde boy. "Sorry, I couldn't sleep."

Wow, was it that late?

He went over to the other side of the boulder. "Can I?" I nodded, and he sat next to me on the rock. He starred up at the moon.

I took a deep breath, I had to do this. "I'm so-"

"Don't be," He cut me off. "sorry, I just.. don't be sorry, ok?"

"Ok."

I looked at my hands, not sure what to do.

"Hey," He placed his hand on my shoulder. "I thought I said DON'T be sorry."

"I-I--I"

He scooched closer, leaning back on his hand. "We're cool, k?" My eyes met his. I nodded slowly, not trusting my voice.

We gazed in silence for a little while before I finally spoke.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" I said, motioning to the moon above us.

"Yeah," he said, not taking his eyes away from mine. "yeah, it is."

Sqeeeeeealllll!! hahaha I was gonna write a bit more but I mean that was so good for the end of a chapter, I had to. This was pretty fun to write, especially towards the end. anyway I gotta get on with writing the next chapter.
