CHAPTER 20

The wedding was going on smoothly. Seeing the wedding Bondita was in a trance she remembered her own wedding with aniruddh . At that time she didn't know the truth of her wedding but now that she knew she suddenly felt a huge urge of gratitude towards aniruddh. And unknowingly her eyes went to aniruddh . He was looking at her too. He was too thinking about their marriage. Bondita gave him a watery smile and he reciprocated . He understood what she meant to say her eyes said everything.

Aniruddh was also thankful to Bondita . Yes he saved her life that day but she , she brought colours to his life she gave him his reason of life. She was also his shikshak Babu as she taught him many things that he could have never learnt from books.

Soon the wedding was over and it was time for vidaai. Jiya was tightly enclosed by her father's arms . Mihir and megha were crying too.

Bondita had tears in her eyes as well. Yes after getting married she got such a new beautiful family but she always missed her mother too much .

She was lost in thoughts when a large warm hand was wrapped around her small one . She looked and saw aniruddh. She was instantly comforted . This is why she loved this man . He didn't need words just his presence was enough. She squeezed back his hand.

Jiya's father now gave jiya's hand to som " Main tumhe apni anmol chiz de Raha hun iska khayal rakhna kabhi ise akela mat chhodna "
"Baba ab se aapki ye anmol chiz mere liye bahut kimti hein mein hamesha jiya ka saath dunga " som assured him.

Suddenly batuk went near bondita " Bondita woh dekho " pointing towards trilochan.
Bondita was amused there were tears in trilochan's eyes too.
Oh yes however mighty and strict her kaka sasurji appeared on the outside but she knew in the inside he was a big softie. And she was glad to get a father figure like him.

Soon the vidaai was over. Albeit very difficulty megha and mihir were not letting jiya go and telling som to go alone almost scaring him out . Everyone had to convince them that after few days megha will be married so she could stay with her sister and mihir can visit his sisters anytime he want.
After all the rituals were over and after a lots and lots of teasing finally everyone gave privacy to the newly wed couple.

Bondita was so tired that she even forgot about her plan with aniruddh.She just wanted to sleep now. With her drowsy eyes she entered the room .
Bondita gasped seeing the room . The room was decorated with roses and Jasmine flowers. There was a musk scent filling the whole room making her swoon.

For a moment she thought if she entered the new couple's room . She double checked it and confirmed that it was indeed her and aniruddh's room. So this decoration ... who did it ?

Oh ! now she remembered about her plan with aniruddh. Oh yeah she has forgot but it seems he has not forgotten about the plan. So he was the one to do decorations but where was the decorator himself ?

The room was dark only moonlight coming in through the windows.
Ok but where was aniruddh?

She closed the door behind her and was waiting for him when suddenly the door burst open . Aniruddh came inside panting. A few sweat beads were formed on his forehead. " Sorry sorry wo mai late ho gaya." He was breathing harshly through his mouth.

"Koi baat nahin" She spoke while offering him a glass of water.

He took it gratefully and drank all the water in one go . Then he took a deep breath and stood up. His heart beat has gone completely up. He even wondered if Bondita could hear his heart beat .He was nervous but he has to do it. If not now then it will be never. He made her sit on the bed while he sat on his knees near the bed holding her hands.

He started with a small smile.
"Bondita jab Maine tumhe pehli baar dekha tha tum dulhan ke roop mein thi iss duniya se bekhabar ekdam masoom chhoti si pyari si . Aur phir jab humara vivaah hua phir pata chala ki tum kitni shaitan ho."
Bondita chuckled. Aniruddh continued " Tum hamesha tark karti thi sawaal kar ti thi galat ka virodh karti thi , tum meri zimmedari to thi par phir meri jeene ki wajah bhi ban gayi . "

Tears were welling up in bondita's eyes. Aniruddh held her hands more firmly. " Bondita main khud ko kabhi maaf nahin kar paunga tumhe itne saalon ki takleef Jo di maine" Bondita started denying but aniruddh didn't let her " Nahi bondita aaj bolne do mujhe main janta hun bohut takleef di hein Maine tumhe sirf tumhe hin nahin kaka ko batuk ko som ko sab ko , Saurabh bohut pyar karta tha sampoorna se uske jaane ke baad meri himmat nahin hui sampoorna ko kuch kehne ki shayad mein apne khud ke glani mein jee raha tha par wajah Jo bhi ho mere uss bartaav ka koi kaaran bhi usse thik nahin dohra sakta ."

"Tum bohut bahadur ho aur mei tab shayad kayar ban Gaya tha par ab nahin Bondita I am really really sorry aur mujhe pata hein ki ye kaafi nahin hein par ye waada hein Aniruddh Roy Chowdhury ka tumse ki mein apni puri koshish karunga inn 9 saalon ki Kami ko pura karne ka , mein woh samay to nahin laa sakta par mein tumhara saath kabhi nahin chhodunga."

Tears were running freely from bondita's eyes . Yes she loved him had almost forgiven him but this was a closure they both wanted . She was reminded of the pain of all those years spending alone. But now he has apologized . It didn't heal her heart completely but yeah it was definitely soothed to a great extent.

"Bondita hamara bohut saare rishtein hein ek shikshak aur shishya ka , dost ka , hum donon ek dusre ke rakshak hein , tum meri zimmedari ho bondita par ab mein chahta hun ki tum bhi meri zimmedari lo aur hum ek dusre ke jeevan saathi bane .
Bondita was in a whirlpool of emotions. His apology has brought her many sad memories but his confession has reminded her of all the happy times they spent together. All the times he helped her saved her and supported her.

She wiped her tears and places her hand on aniruddh's face and wipes his tears which has escalated somewhere in the middle of his speech .

"Barrister Babu mein aapse pyar karti hun aur ab to aap bhi mujhse pyar kartein hein . Mujhe iss baat ki Khushi hein par mein darti bhi hun ki kahin agar aapne mujhe phir se chhod diya toh . Agar aap ..."
"Shh ... Bondita mein tumhe humare rishte ko mauka Dene ke liye nahin keh Raha hun mein tumhe mujhe mauka Dene ke liye vinti karta hun taaki mein khudko tumhare kaabil saabit kar saku ?"

She interrupted putting a finger on his lips"Nahi barrister Babu aap toh mere sansaar hein aapko apne aap ko mujhe saabit karne ki zaroorat nahin hein "

"Toh phir mujhe ye saabit karne do ki humare rishte ko mauka dene se tum kabhi na pachtao" His eyes pleaded her.

Bondita looked down . She could not bear hearing his sincere voice and facing his intense eyes. She big her lower lip in concentration only for aniruddh to make her release her lips .

"Hmmm?" He tilted his face . His hands still on her chin.
She looked at him and nodded a slow yes.
A full blown grim came on aniruddh's face causing her to smile as well. His smile was contagious.

"Toh iss baat ki shuruaat tumhare Mann pasand ek baadam Wale roshogalle se karein ?" His playfulness made her chuckle and finally after a long wait he finally was able to feed her .

They both knew that this was just the beginning of their chance and they will face many problems . They still had many scars to be healed which will take time but one thing they were sure if . That they didn't have to fight alone anymore . They will have each other from now  . ALWAYS !
