not so fond

training grounds

The sun rose over pandora, highlighting the beautiful vast green lands and multicoloured plants and fruit displayed over the forest and the twinkles of light in the lakes and ponds. It was truly beautiful.
You awoke from your slumber seeing your mother already awake; churning the yovo fruit you had brought home yesterday to make your favourite smoothie that you and your brothers adored. You began to step off your hammock when your ears shifted moving up as you heard low breathing low enough to be ignored but too close to the point that they were heard. You looked underneath the hammock to see your two younger brothers Sezan and Lorno giggling.

"What is this we're doing?" you asked looking at them with your face upside down chuckling, long legs still swinging off the hammock. The two boys burst out into laughter, blaming each other for breathing too loud and that's why they were caught. You slowly got off the hammock and began to crawl under the hammock towards them as if you were a monster.

"Well since you decided to try attack me i guess i should attack YOU!" you joked in a forceful deeper voice as you chased them out from underneath the hammock. They screamed and ran out asyou chased them around the hut yelling,

"I'm gonna get you i'm gonna get you sez you can't get far lo , i'm gonna eat you, both of you." You said laughing every 3 words or so. Your mother looked up at the 3 of you a warm feeling nuzzling in the pit of her heart and a smile dancing on her face as she watched her 3 children play together.

Sezan and lo stopped running and began to chase you, Lorno shouting "you cant take our sister monster, come back!" as you began to run in circles in the other direction pretending to trip and fall on the ground. "OH NOOO!" you fake cried as Sezan sat on your legs and Lorno fake plunged a spear into your abdomen. "ughhh" a realistic enough sound of death you produced sticking your tongue out laying in defeat as your mother cheered for the heros Sezan and Lorno for defeating the monster. A few moments passed before you sat up grabbing your brother in your arms growling playfully pretending to eat them, kissing their heads. Their giggles erupted into bellows of laughter and you joined.

"Tam 'evi, z'au." (okay children, come)Your mother beckoned, you were the last of the 3 to stand and once you made it to the table you saw Lorno had nearly already finished his smoothie whilst Sezan took small sips claiming "large sips made his tummy hurt" You chuckled before taking a large gulp from your own bowl, Smiling as the liquid swam down your oesophagus, savouring the tangy purple liquid on your tongue.
"Ftxìlor sa'nu." You hummed, grateful for your mothers talented hands. She stood up kissing your head as she took your brothers bowls walking away with them when they followed her asking for more.

"Nì'ul sa'nu rutxe!" They begged greedily, you chuckled and sighed following your mother and placing the bowl in the bag she would take down to the lake water for a clean. A large rustle was heard as you all looked towards the tent opening seeing your father.

"Rewon" He said in a happy tone, however this was only reciprocated by everyone except you.
"Sempu!!" The boys cheered as they ran to their dad hugging his legs, he lent over slightly hugging their heads but his head staying at level with yours. You huffed walking back to your hammock. Your mother opening her mouth to say something but decided against it and walks over to kiss her mate, this is a matter that could only be solved between the two of you.

"Mid day you will begin ma syulang." He called out ,walking towards you. "Okay." your one worded response ached your fathers heart. He only wanted what was best for you and he thought he was but in doing so he had wedged a gap between the two of you. You picked up your bow and arrow and chose to instead hunt as you waited for the training of your nightmares to commence. You began to walk to the exit of the tent when your father called out to you.
