Chapter Nine

  It's been two weeks since we've been training and packing up for Michigan war coming soon on New Year's Eve. Ezra packed his computer equipment into Dragon's truck and pack the rest of our gear for the traveling. Moira and Kaye packed rest of their medical supplies and weapons. Seika and Hercules decided to travel with another group. Ivan and Malcolm are bringing the group of Ravens. I heard we are all gathering up at a parking garage in Duluth for a huge meeting. It's going to be a long journey. We are going to be traveling for days. Michigan is under evacuation. Citizens heard the news about the Taker's plan for war. They already been informed about them.
  Moira walked up to Seika as she noticed that Hercules brought his grey truck and group of his people playing Celtic music from his stereo. Seika ran up to Hercules and kissed his lips next to his truck.
  "Are you leaving us?" Moira asked with her hands raised up.
  "We are not leaving you. Hercules and group of his people want to join. Can they come with us?" Seika asked holding his hand.
  "You didn't tell me that you guys are dating. I wish you would have talked to me." Moira said with a stern expression.
  "I'm Allan Hercules Zen from the festival. I am part of the Celtic group." Hercules introduced himself to Moira.
  "Yo! How have you been dude?" Dragon shouted with excitement to see his old friend again.
  "What's up, Dragon?" Hercules happily hollered.
  "It's been so long." Dragon walked up to hug him.
  "You two know each other?" Moira asked.
  "He was my fellow brother of the Celtic fighting group eight years ago." Dragon said as he patted his shoulder.
  "Old times brother. We used to sing Celtic women together in school long time ago." Hercules said as group of his buddy's stood in front of his truck waiting for Moira's approval.
  "Fine. Next time, talk to me first before you invite random people in our group. Seika, you and I need to have a private conversation later." Moira made her statement and went back to packing.
  "Aright, sis." Seika said with her head down.
  I can understand why Moira is very protective with her little sister Seika when it comes to dating people around the area. Especially the incidents that happened to Seika lived with the Taker who tortured her at The Sawyer. Moira used to be the parent of her little sister.
  Long time ago, Moira and Seika were born in Shibuya, Toyko at the ghoul shelter. Their biological mother became absent after Seika was born. Their father Seidou Takizawa suffered with major depression and few mental issues. They legally moved into the Twin Cities, Minnesota before Seidou ended up in psychiatric hospital. Moira was only six years old took care of Seika as her own in foster care until Miza and Naki adopted them from the foster care system. Most of the kids were separated by race, disability, humans, and ghouls. Moira never wanted to be separated from her sister. Miza fought custody of the Takizawa sisters out of foster care. A letter sent to Miza and Naki from the mental hospital in Minneapolis and it said, 'Please take care of my baby girls. I want them to be safe. I can't take care of my girls if I am not okay. I am not sure how long I am going to be in this hospital. Tell Moira and Seika I love and miss them a lot. From, Seidou.' Miza and Naki raised nine kids of their own on the Aogiri Tree Reservation. When they were ages twelve or thirteen, Seika ran away from home few times to party involved underage drinking that Moira had to parent her sister few times to pull her head out of her ass. Moira never interested in boys and men. She came out as lesbian at age thirteen. Moira worked two jobs at age fourteen to take care of her sister and save more money to buy a house on Aogiri Tree Reservation. She kept all of her earnings locked up in her lock chest hidden at Akira and Amon's house in Wisconsin during visitations. Seidou was released out of the hospital at the time. He crashed in from house to house and chose to live with Banjou for a while to get back on his feet. The last time she saw her dad was on her fifteenth birthday at the park. Seidou lived in the basement of their house. Moira remembered she had to carry Seidou's drunk ass back home and made sure that he didn't freeze to death. Seidou got help in the transitions program. Seidou moved to Duluth to pull himself together. Their biological mother never came back until her mother randomly showed up when it was convenient. Moira was sick and tired of her mother's selfishness. Her mother showed up on Christmas Day drunk off her ass. Miza almost dropped a huge dish of deer flesh as her husband Naki stopped her from accidentally dropping the Christmas dinner. Miza's kids were not happy to see that woman show up again in this house. Their biological mother burnt bridges and took everyone for granted so many years.
  "Why are you here? How did you manage to come to America?" Moira asked with her arms crossed.
  "I just wanted to say how sorry I am for not being in your girls lives... I was just trying to enjoy freedom before I got to see you.." Her mother stuttered with her breath smelled like alcohol.
  "Bullshit! I can smell your breath. I am not stupid. Ghouls can feel and scent a lot of things. Do you not realized it?" Moira snapped.
  "Well... I wanted to make amends.." She stuttered again.
  "You hurt me and Seika. You hurt dad so much. He ended up with very bad mental state and stuck in the mental hospital for years. You took everyone for granted. Everyone tried to contact you, but you were never fucking there! You left us on the day Seika was born. Do you not realize you traumatized our father, Seika, and me?! How shameful of you." Moira shouted in tears as her mother stood in silence.
  "I was only five years old when you gave birth to Seika and you disappeared on us. Dad moved us to the United States to live on Aogiri Tree Reservation near by Shibuya town with the rest of the ghoul families to have a better life in this society. Dad felt mentally unstable from a hard core broken heart of distress. He got himself admitted into the hospital. Seika and I were stuck in foster care. Miza and Naki fought full custody of us. I took care of Seika when she was an infant. We visited dad few times at the hospital and sent us letters every fucking day. I helped Seika with homework. I taught myself to go hunting for food. I fed everyone when they are hungry. I was there for her when she had her first period. I stopped dad from trying to kill himself at the park. I took care of dad because he had medical conditions. I stayed up all night when Seika was sick. I celebrated birthdays, holidays, and special events for Seika and dad. I took care of everyone first before myself. I worked two jobs to pay bills, put food on the table, and saved up for my future. YOU WERE NEVER THERE!! You decided to come back to make amends? It's too late to make amends right now! You never done shit for anyone! You only cared about yourself! Stop making excuses and get your shit together!" Moira called her out as Miza stepped in. Moira walked away to step out to the back patio for a cigarette.
  "Ma'am, I think you need to leave. You are not welcome." Miza said as her biological mother slowly walked out the door and sobbed.
  Moira scared the shit out of the school bullies. If anyone bullied her sister and friends, she would whoop ass in school. Moira is the type of woman who does not put up with anyones bullshit. A human male teacher tried to rape Seika in the janitors closet as she ran screaming and crying for Moira to save her right now. When Moira was sixteen years old, she beat the shit out of the teacher in front of the whole class. She punched the man over six times in the face and stomped him in the nuts twice. She grabbed him by the hair and scratched him across the face caused his lip to slice and half.
  "TOUCH MY SISTER AGAIN, I FUCKING DARE YOU! IF YOU DARE TOUCH ANYONE IN SCHOOL AGAIN, I WILL DEVOUR YOU IN FRONT OF EVERYONE HERE YOU NASTY MOTHERFUCKER!" Moira almost murdered the teacher who tried to inappropriately touch Seika in the janitors closet. It took three staffs to pull Moira off of the man before she almost tried murdered him with her kagune. Everyone saw the dangerous rage on her face. Most of the students cheered for Moira when she was placed in handcuffs and escorted to a police car. If their father Seidou were at the school, he would've devoured the rapist teacher and not think twice. Moira spent eight months in Twin Cities juvenile correctional center. When Moira was released, Akira and Amon picked her up from the correctional center. Moira became very skilled and spiritual fighter in the household. Moira and Seika lived with them to get their lives together in Wisconsin to get her GED for her nursing degree at the academy. When they were living with Akira and Amon, Seika worked as a waitress at the 24 hour family diner at a truck stop full time. Seika used to sneak guys in the house while no one was home at time. Moira would give her the stink eye.
  "You better start using birth control, Seika. I know you are not ready to bring a kid in this world at this time. I'm not ready to be aunt because I spent years taking care of your ass, sister." Moira said as Seika walked around in bra and underwear trying to get ready for work.
  "I am being careful. We use condoms." Seika said defensively.
  "Don't make me take you to Planned Parenthood." Moira gave her the stink eye again.
  "I will be fine, sis. I gotta go to work, love you." Seika said and walked out the door to work.
  "Alright, then." Moira said as she sat back down to studying for her nursing.
  Moira meet with Kaye in the medical field. Kaye used to be in the Air Force before she entered in the medical field. They worked together as a couple. They decided to move back to Aogiri Tree Reservation and bought a house on the acres of land together. Kaye adopted a baby husky wolf dog name Shae on their one year anniversary. Akira and Amon were stationed in Duluth before Wisconsin got hit by Takers. Seika chose to live with one of her ex boyfriends before she was abducted. Moira felt so devastated and scared to death that she almost lost a baby sister.
 
  It's been over two hours of a drive as we arrived to Duluth to park our vehicles to the huge parking garage in the city. They are a lot of ghouls and humans grouped together. The Ravens, Celtics, Wolves, Goat, Wiccans, Cyber team, and Night watchers from Aogiri Tree Reservation and Shibuya Town. Few more households from different hidden reservations all over Minnesota. The ships are on the landing of the lighthouse and ready to load up.
  "Attention everybody! This is a huge mission to survive the winter war! I understand this is can be very nerve wrecking on all of us! Right now, saving the citizens is our first priority! Takers are on their way to Michigan before New Year's Eve! It is hard to sacrifice Christmas this year but hopefully we will come home safely back to our families! WE WILL FIGHT FOR JUSTICE!!!" Ivan shouted with his fist up high and everyone raised their fists up.
  "NO JUSTICE! NO FUCKING PEACE!" Seika shouted.
  Everyone shouted the same words as Seika repeated her same words. Dragon and I held our hands and held them up high.
  "NO JUSTICE! NO FUCKING PEACE!" Both of us shouted with everyone in the parking garage.
  Listening to the echos of all of voices in the entire public garage. We all joined into the mix of our voices. We all deserve a voice.
  We sailed our ship up north away from the Wisconsin boarder to avoid the dangers of being surrounded by Takers. They could possibly have boats and ships close to Bayfield. We avoided the areas of the boarder at all times in Lake Superior. It will be a few hours on the ship all night to the Michigan boarder of this lake shore. The first destination will be Hiawatha National Forest. Second destination is Beaver Island where we will be spending two nights. My adoptive brother Sigfreed Cox and his fiancé Panora are stationed in Beaver Island. I hope I can see them again. The third destination is Michigan. We will be riding in random vehicles to drive few more hours to Detroit is our final destination to save our citizens, my mother, and fight the Takers. It's cold outside of the ship. I heard Moira and Seika having a very long conversation and arguments escalated in the room next door to our room of the ship as Seika stepped outside to cool off a moment. Hercules waited in the break room for the conversation to be done. He stepped outside to check on her. I stepped out of the room and saw Dragon sitting alone holding a hot beverage in the kitchen of the ship.
  "Your still awake. What is on your mind?" I asked as I sat next to him.
  "Are you going to fight the Hakujin's alone? Be honest with me." He starred at his drink.
  "I made a promise to Moira that I won't go alone." I said.
  "You need to keep that promise. Can you promise me you won't get yourself killed again?" Dragon asked with tears in his eyes.
  "If I have to face the fuckers, then I will do anything to protect you, friends, and families. I would have to make these sacrifices." I explained.
  "I will not allow you to go alone. I love you too damn much to let you risk your life." He expressed a he put his drink on the counter.
  "I will devour the fucker myself if my rage rises." I said as he stopped me for a moment.
  "Your gonna carry that weight for the rest of your life? They are not worth of shit, Viola! You can't let him get to you! You need to focus on saving your mother and citizens before you raise your kagune." He expressed and held my hands tight.
  "I'm not going to throw my life away. I'm going to murder the man who abused me for years. I'm not giving up on you." I said as I look into his eyes and wiped his tears with the corner of my sleeve.
  "I'm not giving up on you. If your going to fight, then I will fight with you. We will fight together. We don't give up on each other." He expressed as he caressed my face and kissed me.
  Dragon and I walked into our room quietly and carefully closed the door. Dragon removed his clothes and tossed them on the floor. I took off the rest of my clothes and threw them on my side of the bed and laid on my side under the covers. Dragon turned off the lights. He laid next to me. I felt his warm arms around my naked body as I turned to face him and wrapped my arms around him. We faced each other and caressed our faces before we passed out.
