At the hotel, Nigel and Patrick were singing songs just like they always were.
But every girl in the lounge was looking at Nigel.
"Just look, old boy. They love you" said Patrick.
"Well. I can't help it if girls love me" said Nigel modestly.
"Yes. I'm very proud of you" said Patrick.
Then he turned his head away and kept playing his piano.
He's not really proud of me is he? Nigel thought.
After breakfast, the hotel's guests left the lounge and allowed the boys to take a break.
While Nigel tuned his guitar and practiced more, Patrick decided to pay a visit to Paris.
"Hi-ya, Patrick" said Paris with a smile.
"Hullo, Paris. Hit me with a Château Lafite Rothschild. I wish to drown my sorrows in wine" said Patrick.
"What's the matter?" said Paris as she did as told.
"Nigel is. What would you do if you were jealous of someone you perform with who gets all of the attention?" said Patrick.
"Well, Patrick, I'm not a performer, so I wouldn't know. But if I were jealous, I... I dunno. I've never been jealous of someone. If something's going on, I'm just glad to be me" said Paris.
"Well, I'm glad to be me too, but I kind of wish I could have girls running after me like Nigel does" said Patrick.
"Sure you do. Maybe you will" said Paris.
"But how? What about me is keeping them away? Is it my glasses?" said Patrick.
"I dunno; I like your glasses" said Paris.
"But they're not making you pound on my apartment door in the middle of the night. Oh, if only I could let Nigel know that" said Patrick.
