Tonight, Elysia is staying up. She has already gotten enough sleep during the day after the expedition. Moreover, she has more important matters to attend to. As quiet as the night, the girl sneaks around the military base. Her stealthiness has far improved since the day she joined the Valkyries, her movement is as light as a feather and as swift as the wind. 'Archives of the forbidden', is what he said. Perhaps the library of the Valkyries, but there is also another place which Vurul defines as forbidden - his office. With a clear destination in mind, she immediately dashes through the halls towards the room.
At the door, she suddenly feels butterflies in her stomach. Perhaps it's anxiety or a more complex feeling that she isn't yet able to understand. Whatever it is, it can't stop her from going forward now. She softly turns the handle of the door, the pin lets out a soft click and then the door slowly swings open. Elysia takes a peek inside, revealing the captain that trained her - who is now sleeping at the desk with a bunch of documents by his side. The candlelight is yet to be snuffed out, perhaps he passed out while working. He's been the hard-working type since the beginning anyways. Not until she almost steps over one does she realise the plentiful amount of bird feathers scattered on the ground. The girl leans over to attempt to pick one up, but as soon as she merely touches one, the captain at the desk slightly twitches. She quickly retracts her arms, Vurul hasn't woken up, luckily. She lets out a small sigh, seeing this as a type of defence mechanism of the captain. It's quite smart, most people wouldn't have noticed the feathers on the ground, due to how well it blends with the floor. As if walking through a minefield, every step of hers is calculated and well planned. Then eventually, she reaches the candle and puts out the fire with a gentle blow. The bunk bed is still at the corner, just like when they first got here, despite how out of place it seems. She then looks to the coat hanger near the desk, it's his winter uniform clothes. Elysia goes towards it and grabs the coat to bring it back to Vurul. On the way back, still avoiding feathers, she takes a small sniff of it.. A slightly perfumed scent, but most of it is Vurul's. The girl gently blankets the coat over the captain, then begins her puzzle solving.
'Take hold the beauty of the moon'.. She looks around the room and coincidentally, the first thing she comes across is the curtained window. Vurul never opened the curtains and that made her wonder why. Well, there aren't any other holes in the room to really look outside other than this suspiciously big window. The girl carefully unveils the only window of the room, not making the slightest of sound. As she does so, the moon slowly reveals itself behind the layer of cloth, pouring its soft light into the office of the captain. It's another full moon, quite romantic, and it's also what she needed for maximum illumination. As soon as the light reaches the weird chandelier, the crystals reflect the light into themselves beautifully until it all focuses on the one in the middle. "Ah.. so that's what it was for..", she mutters to herself. The light beam now points at a certain book on the bookshelves. The beam is bright enough for her to be able to read the cover, 'Celestium Hymn'. It's a religious piece of literature, mainly consisting of the history of the creation of the world through the sayings of the ancient. 'Behold, o behold, the beauty of His! Descended unto this barren land, the First harbinger. Then came the Seraphim, a holy crusade of Yrdos. Their light shed upon a dark world. Such wonder! Such joy! Their loving reign shall guide us all.' - the first segment from the book. She looks outside the window, the moon is slightly lower than before, time is not going to wait for her. The girl frantically flips through the book, in hope of finding an obvious clue between the pages, then a small slip of paper falls out of the book. Elysia picks it up, it is a small square made of paper, with a decent amount of holes punched into it. On one side, there is text written onto it which reads 'O, Yrdos, protect me from the lies of all that is unholy and speak to me of all that is but deception. For your love is unending, for Brimmus' eyes are blinded, yet all-seeing.'
