Cindy POV

"Say hello Seraphina Mercy," the midwife said while giving me our child. It was again time that she lay on my bare chest and I loved these moments so much. The closeness to her felt so good and apparently it also calmed her down. My heart melted when she grabbed my hair with her little hands and played with it. A little sigh left her little mouth and she snuggled closer to me.

"You both are beautiful," Aiden said.

I only smiled in love at our little miracle when Aiden suddenly bent over me and gave me a soft kiss on the lips.

"I'll be right back I-" He got interrupted by the midwife. She cleared her throat, " Er... You have visitors."

Aiden frowned and then his face changed to pure hatred when he heard a male voice, "Hello Aiden."

"Father?" He hissed.

"Yes. It's me and your mother. How about turning around to greet your parents who you left alone with all their worries back then?"

He growled angrily. "Why should I even breathe the same air as a traitor like you?"

"Aiden," a woman's voice scolded him.

"Oh no, you still protect him? What kind of mother are you?!"

His father sighed, "Can we at least see our granddaughter?"

"No," Aiden said firmly and I gulped hard at the change of his voice.

What the hell happened that he despised this man so much? He never told me anything because he didn't want to but now he had to. My gut feeling told me that I should stick to Aiden. Something bad was about this man who apparently looked the same as Aiden. Aiden had the eyes and his hair from his mother but his face was exactly from his father.

Seraphina seemed to sense the tension and whined a little. Aiden heard it immediately and decided it would be better if they continued to talk outside.

"We better get out, our daughter doesn't like the tension," Aiden stated.

"You mean the tension you created," his mother said and immediately went quiet when Aiden shot her an angry look.

They left the room and wanted to leave the hospital but soon I heard loud voices in the hallway but they were too far away to understand everything. I tried to stay calm for Seraphina but it didn't work out and the midwife suggested that it would be best when she gets back into the incubator. I also thought that this would be the best idea. I didn't want to stress Seraphina so much. The midwife made sure that I was fine before leaving the room and when the door opened I heard a sentence that burned into my brain.

"You could have saved her but you left her alone!" Aiden yelled and his voice wasn't only angry, there was also so much pain in it. I also heard someone calling the police and soon a slap was heard.

"Oh, you didn't!" Aiden warned. Oh shit, I need to get down there somehow! I never saw Aiden so angry.

I managed to get out of bed and on shaky legs I walked out the door which was about to close again. Looking to the right and left I found the family in front of the stairs. Goosebumps raced down my body, Aiden was terribly angry. A vein pulsed in his head. Both men's faces were red as they continued to yell at each other. You could hardly understand anything, since neither of the two let the other speak. A handprint adorned his face, probably from his mother as she kneaded her hand, eliminating the tingling in her hand.
