Episode 3: The Secret Admirer

Park Ha Na sat at her desk, staring at the beautiful bouquet of roses in front of her. They had been delivered to her office earlier that day, along with a note that simply read, "From a secret admirer."

Ha Na had been receiving anonymous gifts for the past few weeks. At first, it had been small things like chocolates and teddy bears, but they had gradually become more elaborate. She had received expensive jewelry, designer clothing, and even a brand-new laptop. Each gift came with the same note: "From a secret admirer."

At first, Ha Na had been flattered by the attention. But as the gifts continued to pour in, she couldn't help but feel uneasy. Who was sending her these gifts? And why wouldn't they reveal their identity?

Ha Na had always been cautious. As a successful businesswoman and an outspoken advocate against violence towards women and children, she knew that she had made enemies. She had received threats before, but they had always been anonymous messages on social media or in her email inbox. The gifts, on the other hand, felt much more personal.

Ha Na decided to hire a private investigator to look into the matter. She didn't want to involve the police just yet, as she wasn't sure if the gifts were actually a threat. But she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her, and she needed to find out who.

As she waited for the private investigator to arrive, Ha Na couldn't help but feel uneasy. She tried to focus on her work, but her mind kept wandering back to the mysterious gifts. Who was sending them? And why?

As if on cue, her phone rang. It was her bodyguard, Chang Wook. "Attorney Park, it's time for your next appointment," he said in his usual calm and collected voice.

Ha Na sighed. As much as she appreciated Chang Wook's dedication to his job, she couldn't help but feel like a prisoner at times. She missed the days when she could come and go as she pleased, without having to worry about her safety.

"Thank you, Chang Wook," Ha Na said, gathering her things. As she left her office, she couldn't help but feel like someone was watching her. She glanced over her shoulder, but there was no one there.

Ha Na tried to shake off the feeling as she headed to her next meeting, but she couldn't help but wonder who was sending her those gifts. And why they were doing it.

As Ha Na continued to receive anonymous gifts, she also began to receive threatening messages. Her butler and maids notice the messages too and bring them to her attention.  At first, she tried to brush them off as harmless pranks, but as the messages became more aggressive, she couldn't ignore them any longer.

It started with a simple note left on her car windshield, warning her to "back off" and stop interfering in the affairs of the underworld. Ha Na was confused at first - she couldn't think of anything she had done to draw the attention of these dangerous groups. But then she remembered her work with a local organization that combats human trafficking. Perhaps her efforts had finally caught the attention of the wrong people.

Ha Na tried to put on a brave face, but she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in her stomach. She didn't want to involve Chang Wook in her personal problems - after all, he was hired to protect her physical safety, not deal with her emotional turmoil. But as the threats continued to pile up, she knew she couldn't face them alone.

For the next few days, Ha Na was on edge, constantly looking over her shoulder and receiving threatening messages. Her butler and maids noticed her distress and asked if anything was wrong.

One night, as she was leaving her office, Ha Na heard footsteps behind her. She turned around, her heart racing, and saw a shadowy figure approaching her. Without thinking, she reached for her pepper spray, but the figure simply laughed and stepped into the light. It was Chang Wook.

"Jeez, Ha Na, you're going to give me a heart attack," he said, grinning. "What's going on?"

Ha Na hesitated for a moment, but then she spilled everything to Chang Wook. The gifts, the notes, the feeling of being constantly watched. Chang Wook's face grew serious as he listened to her, and he promised to take her concerns seriously. They walked back to her car together, Chang Wook scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger.

As they reached Ha Na's car, they found a note attached to the windshield. It was a direct threat, warning Ha Na to stop interfering in the affairs of the underworld or face the consequences. Chang Wook immediately called the police and reported the incident, but Ha Na knew that the danger was far from over.

Chang Wook observed the gifts carefully, taking note of the details of each one. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't right, but he couldn't put his finger on it either. After thoroughly examining the gifts, he went to Ha Na's office to speak with her.

"Attorney Park, can I speak with you for a moment?" he asked as he knocked on her door.

"Sure, come in," Ha Na replied, looking up from her computer.

Chang Wook entered the room and closed the door behind him. He then approached Ha Na's desk and placed the gifts in front of her.

"Attorney Park, I've been investigating the anonymous gifts you've been receiving, and I believe I have found the sender," he said, handing her a piece of paper.

Ha Na looked at the paper and saw a name she didn't recognize. "Who is this?" she asked.

"He's a man who's been admiring you from afar, and he wanted to express his feelings through these gifts," Chang Wook explained.

Ha Na looked at the gifts again, still feeling uneasy about the situation. "But how do you know he's harmless?" she asked.

"I've done a background check on him, and there's no criminal record or any history of violence," Chang Wook replied. "But I understand your concern, and I will continue to keep an eye on him."

Ha Na nodded, feeling somewhat reassured. "Thank you, Chang Wook. I appreciate your help."

Chang Wook nodded back and left the room, still not entirely convinced that the situation was as harmless as it seemed. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't right, but he knew he had to stay vigilant to keep Ha Na safe.

After the incident with the secret admirer, Ha Na becomes more cautious about her surroundings. She starts to take extra precautions to ensure her safety. She even starts carrying pepper spray in her bag.

Despite the scare, Ha Na continues to carry out her work with the same passion and dedication. She visits different schools and organizations to raise awareness about human trafficking and the importance of reporting such crimes. She also meets with survivors of human trafficking and provides them with the necessary support and resources to help them rebuild their lives.

However, as she continues her work, she starts to receive threatening messages and calls from an unknown number. The voice on the other end of the line is distorted and the messages are cryptic. Ha Na starts to worry that the same people who were after her during the secret admirer incident might be after her again.

Chang Wook becomes more vigilant and starts to investigate the source of the threats. He spends hours poring over CCTV footage, trying to identify any suspicious individuals who might be following Ha Na. He also starts to accompany her everywhere she goes, even to places where she wouldn't normally require a bodyguard.

As Ha Na leaves the office, she notices a shadowy figure watching her from across the street...
