It took me a while to find a position of sleep that was comfortable. Not only is this not my bed but it's not my home either. Don't get me wrong, I've been here before but not by myself. This is my partner's home and bed and it's been two months now, which is why I'm here to begin with.

After burrowing under the blanket that somehow still has a lingering male scent, I finally found a semblance of sleep. I've been staying at the Avengers tower for three days now and it just feels weird. I was brought here for security, they thought that I could be in danger and no matter how much I argued, Natasha insisted and won. Here I am. I was woken up by movement, the mattress dipped, I felt breath on my neck, a hand caressing my hip, moving higher.

"You're home." I smiled sleepily as I turned and looked into the eyes of my boyfriend.

"Hey." he smiled and even in the dark I could see the bruises, the shadows under his eyes.

"I missed you." I sleepily whispered.

"I missed you too, darlin'." he sighed, kissing me softly.

"Shower?" I asked, yawning.

"Already showered."

"Food?"

"Not hungry."

"Bucky ..."

"I just need you." he muttered against my lips as his hands wandered.

"I'm sorry." I told him.

"Sorry? Why?"

"I shouldn't have told you like that."

"Didn't give you much of a choice, doll." he smiled as he moved under the blanket.

"Bucky ..." I giggled as he kissed my belly.

"I missed you ... both of you." he muttered. "My girls."

"Might be a boy." I yawned.

"I'd be fine with either but I kinda want a girl." he looked up at me and smiled before kissing my small belly again.

"We love you." I whispered.

"And I love you ... three months baby, I've missed out on two months already." he sighed.

"You haven't ... missed much." I yawned again.

"We can talk in the morning." he chuckled. "If you don't mind, we're gonna have a conversation."

"Really?" I smiled.

"Yeah, we've got 2 months to talk about."

"I love you, James Barnes." I said, my eyes growing heavy already.

I fell asleep listening to him talk to our baby and the happiness in his tired voice made me happy. The fact that I had to tell the secret over a video call still mortifies me. Waiting wasn't an option, I needed to tell. All of the Avengers were happy and I have my suspicions that the pregnancy is the real reason I was brought here.

When I woke up, I felt hands on my stomach and looked down to see James still asleep with his head resting on my lower belly. Looking up again, I was met with another pair of beautiful blue eyes. He smiled when I did and pressed his lips to mine.

"My overprotective super soldiers are home." I smiled.

"We're having a baby." He said softly, his hand skimming over my very small bump.

"You get to have a family." I smiled at the awe in his eyes.

"I didn't think ... are you two okay?"

"Tony set me up with a doctor and we were waiting for you to get back. I wanted to wait to hear the heartbeat with you. But preliminary blood tests say that everything is fine."
