"Mommy, can we go to pool?" Morgan asked.

"The pool, yeah, we can go after lunch." I smiled at her.

"Yay! I get daddy."

"No, you can't do that. He's busy."

"I want Daddy, too," she pouted. "Friday, you get Daddy," she said, making me stare at her in shock.

"Yes, Miss Morgan." The AI robot thing replied.

"Morgan! You can't just do that." I said, trying not to laugh as I cut her sandwich.

"That was super smart, kiddo. Don't listen to your mom." Sam said when he walked over, kissing the top of her head.

"Don't you tell her to do that." I argued.

"You eat lunch with me, nucle Sam?" she smiled.

"She's an operator." I chuckled.

"And she's got my number. Of course, I'll eat with you." he smiled, sitting beside her.

"You want a sandwich too, nucle Sam?"

"You making one of the big and yummy ones?" he smiled bigger.

"Yeah, I can do that."

This feels like how things used to feel: my friends, my people, my home. Unfortunately, not everyone feels that way, and that's fair. Sam's eyes widened when he saw his sandwich, and he dug into it.

"God, no one makes sandwiches like you." he said with his mouth full.

"It's a gift." I smiled.

"That it is! This is so good."

"Hey, I smell toasted bread." Clint complained as he walked into the kitchen. "I want a sandwich!"

"You take this one, and I'll make another." I said, handing him my plate.

"No, that's fine, I ..."

"Just shut up and take the plate. You know you want it." Sam said.

"Das a bad word, nucle Sam." Morgan scolded him.

"Sorry, kiddo, I didn't ..."

"I was apparently summoned by my daughter." Tony smirked as he walked out of the elevator.

"You what?" Clint asked.

"Yeah, I told my child that her father was busy, so she told Friday to get him." I said, shaking my head as I walked back into the kitchen.

"That's totally fine. What's up, princess?" Tony smiled.

"Wanna go to pool?" she smiled up at him.

"Yeah, I can take a break." he replied, looking at the plates.

I grabbed enough things to make two sandwiches, and within a few minutes, we ate together. It felt so good to be here with them, to spend time with them. The smiles and laughter were something I've missed so much. I've missed my family so much. In all my time back, this has been the best day. After enough time had passed, we all changed and met up at the pool.

"Mommy look, is nucle Steve and awntie Nat." Morgan shouted when we got to the pool.

I stopped in my tracks, my body tensed up, and I felt frozen in place when Nat's glare landed on me. Morgan tugged on my hand while the guys looked worriedly between us.

"Yeah, baby, you leave them alone to swim, okay? They're stretching after working out." I said softly.

"Okay, we play?" she asked Tony and Sam.
