The Daily Chronicle:

Gang Violence Destroys the Fabric of Our City

Opinions expressed in this article are the author's own and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Daily Chronicle.

New York City - Our once-great city is slowly being destroyed by the rise of gang violence. Yesterday's brutal attack on the D train is just the latest example of how crime is tearing apart the fabric of our society.

In the good old days, we didn't have to worry about walking the streets or riding the subway. But now, it seems that danger lurks around every corner. The police are doing what they can, but it's not enough. We need to come together as a community to fight back against the forces that seek to destroy us.

It's time to face the truth about these criminals - they are products of a broken system. They are the children of single mothers who have been left to fend for themselves, with no support or guidance. They are the victims of drug abuse, poverty, and neglect. It's no wonder they turn to a life of crime - it's the only option they see.

But we cannot let these circumstances be an excuse for their actions. We must hold them accountable for their crimes, while also acknowledging the root causes of their behavior. We must work towards creating a society that provides support and opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background.

Let us not forget that these criminals are also human beings, with their own stories and struggles. Let us approach them with empathy and understanding, while also ensuring that justice is served. But first things first, WE NEED TO GET THEM OFF OF the STREET so that they don't hurt anyone else.

As a Gene Barrister once said, "We cannot build a better future by tearing each other down. It's only by working together that we can create a society where everyone has the chance to thrive." Let us work towards that future, together.

Sincerely, Jared Baylor
