Madam Promfrey had left her to go see Diggory.

Amelia didn't want to sit still, she wanted to hug Draco and Blake and thank them for helping her, she wanted to make amends with her friends.

Amelia wanted to do a lot of things except sit there.

On top of that she was full of adrenaline and wanted to see what the crowd was doing. But before she was able to reach the mouth of the tent multiple people came running into the tent.

"Amelia!" Draco said squeakily, "That was amazing!"

Blake had pulled her in for a hug. "I told you that you were too cool to die!"

But Amelia was looking at Daphne and Pansy, who was very white and staring at Amelia as though she were a ghost.

"Amelia," Daphne said, very seriously, "whoever put your name in that goblet, I.." - she faltered for a mere moment - "I reckon they're trying to do you in!"

It was as though the last few weeks had never happened - as though Amelia were meeting Daphne for the first time, right after she'd been made champion.

"Caught on, have you?" said Amelia coldly, raising a single eyebrow. "Took you long enough."

The boys sort of just stood there, Draco watching the scene intently. He stood nervously between them, looking from one to the other.

Pansy opened her mouth uncertainly. Amelia knew she was about to apologize and suddenly she found she didn't need to hear it.

"It's okay," Amelia said, before she could get the words out. "Forget it."

Whatever they had done, whatever had happened Amelia didn't care. At the end of the day, she knew they would've thought she'd put her name in - why wouldn't they?

Everybody thought she had put her name in. After all, it was the most logical answer. But it wasn't the right one.

"No," said Pansy stubbornly, "I shouldn't've -"

"Forget it." Amelia said. "Seriously, there's no point bickering over this."

Daphne grinned nervously at her, and Amelia grinned back. Blaise burst into tears, which shocked her.

Amelia had never seen Blaise cry before. Not like this anyway.

"There's nothing to cry about!" Amelia told him, bewildered.

"You lot are so stupid!" He shouted, stamping his foot on the ground, tears splashing down his front.

"Mate you're acting like Granger." Blake murmured, biting into some sort of sweet that she had brought with her.
