Two weeks had passed since the Hogsmeade weekend, it had also been two weeks since Amelia asked Theo accompany her to the Yule hall. She was still delighted about his answer.
Pansy and Daphne had made a huge fuss when she told them the news, they were acting like she had just told them they were getting married or that she was expecting a child. Still, she didn't have the heart to tell them they were being dramatic.
She hadn't spoken to Blake much since she found out the news. In complete honesty, Amelia hadn't meant to ignore her best friend - she had done it subconsciously.
Amelia felt a pang of guilt whenever she thought about Blake. The last few days she'd been so wrapped up in the fact that Theo was taking *her* to the Yule Ball, that she'd almost completely ignored her best friend.
Of course she knew that it was wrong, but she didn't have the heart to apologise just yet. How could she explain that she'd been a shitty best friend, all because a girl had finally taken an interest in her?
Olivia didn't make matters easier either, the Gryffindor continued to walk up to Amelia to ask random small details about Blake.
"What's her favourite food?"
"What's her favourite song?"
"Is she a cat or dog person?"
The questions just kept coming and getting weirder and weirder. Eventually Amelia snapped at her cousin telling her to gain the courage to ask Blake herself.
Since then Olivia had stopped.
"Malfoy!" Amelia shouted at her cousin.
He was in the Great Hall along with the boys, including Theo, who looked at her and smiled. It caused butterflies in her stomach and emotions to swirl all over the place.
Draco groaned, looking up from his plate. "Yes dear cousin of mine? What is it?"
Blaise looked up as well, laughing as Draco let out a long groan of annoyance.
"Oh god, what's she pestering you about now?" Blaise teased, grinning.
Amelia rolled her eyes playfully, sitting down in between Theo and Blaise.
"Are you staying here at Hogwarts for Christmas?" She asked, hoping the answer would be a yes.
Amelia didn't want to go back to the Potters for the Christmas period and wanted to stay at Hogwarts with the rest of her friends.
But if her friends were returning home then she had no other choice but to go to the Potters. Amelia refused to stay back at Hogwarts all on her own.
Blaise raised an eyebrow at the question, while Theo immediately perked up in interest, looking at her curiously.
