BLAKE HAS A WHAT?*•*
"I'm so happy for you!" Squealed Charlotte, causing Amelia to smile genuinely.
Her and Charlotte were walking the grounds, admiring Hogwarts during the Christmas season. With the snow fluttering down, it never failed to look beautiful.
Amelia had just told Charlotte that she had asked Theo to the Yule ball - it had happened a few days ago and yet Amelia was still over the moon about it.
Charlotte grinned at her sister and gave her a little nudge as they continued to walk. "I'm really happy for you," she repeated, her voice softer than usual.
There was a thoughtful smile on her face as she continued to watch the snowflakes falling onto the ground, covering it entirely in a white blanket.
"Have you thought about what you're gonna wear?" she asked, curiosity taking over.
"Not really," Admitted Amelia, "but Regulus is taking me back to Grimmauld Place at some point during the holidays and i have a bunch of dresses there."
Her grandparents, more specifically her grandmother, insisted that a pureblood girl like herself could never have to be many dresses. Afterall, you had to ensure that you looked presentable at all times.
Charlotte's eyes widened slightly as she heard her sister's words. A hundred different things began to flash through her mind as she listened to her speak.
"You're going back to Grimmauld Place?" she repeated, a frown on her face.
She didn't want to upset the other girl, but just the thought of Amelia being back there, especially just before Christmas, made her chest churn with unease... she just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
"Just to receive some of my old stuff, Char." Amelia assured her. "Then i'll be back at the house."
Charlotte bit down on the inside of her lip. "Okay.."
"Anyway, have you managed to find a date for the Yule Ball?" Asked the slytherin girl, running a hand through her hair.
Despite the Ball only being open to fourth years and above there was a loophole. If one of the younger years (Charlotte was in her third years) accompanied someone else as their date they could attend.
When she was asked about a date for the Yule ball, Charlotte's eyes widened slightly and she let out a slightly embarrassed cough.
"No, I haven't -" she murmured softly, though her face began to turn a deep shade of pink.
Amelia shrugged just as an idea came to mind. "There's still time. Hey! I don't think Blake is taking anyone, i can ask her to invite you - as friends obviously. Don't date my best friend, ever."
