The Aura Warrior of Acmetropolis

Chapter 17

It was a peaceful and calm night in Acmetropolis and at the Loonatics tower the team was sleeping peacefully, Ace slept in a bed decorated with carrots and hobby items in the corner, Austin and Lexi's room now had a king-sized bed while Austin who had an arm around Lexi slept on the right side of the bed the right side of the room had some photos of him with his family and friends along with trophies and metals of sports he participated in the past along with certificates for donating things to different charities his war metals were also on display, on the left side was Lexi who was cuddling up to Austin with a small radio on a table with a surf board and jet skies leaning against the wall and Zozo was sleeping at the foot of the bed in her own pet bed that Austin was able to make for her, Slam ate a turkey leg while sleeping in a room with a bench press bar over his head, Tech was sleeping in his lab/bedroom while muttering genius quotes and sucking his thumb, Sara was sleeping in a room filled her novels, Winona was sleeping in a room that was likes Tech but it was mostly parts to help maintain her robotic arm and leg, and Rev kept adjusting himself with his super speed in his sleep. Suddenly the entire tower shook causing the lights to come on and the team minus Duck who had earmuffs and a slumber mask on while surrounded by self portraits of himself with Wonderfluff trying to wake him up.

Computer voice: Warning enemy vessel detected. 

 The team then changed into their uniforms and went into the defense room. 

Ace: Rev initiate counter defense measures, Lexi put on your brain blasting helmet and get ready to fire, Austin hook yourself up and use your aura to help defend and attack, Tech raise the deflector shields, Slam and Sara get ready to launch photon rockets, and Winnona switch to your blaster hand to help out. 

Stations then came out of the floor and everyone got into them and prepared to counter attack. 

Ace: Ready to channel laser blast now. 

Ace then channeled his laser blast through some goggles, the energy then went straight to a laser gun on top of the building and destroyed one of the attackers, Lexi then put on a helmet causing another station to come out. 

Lexi: Counterattack initiated. 

Lexi then used her brain blast to destroy another attacker, Austin was then hooked up to a suit and channeled his aura into it making another shield appear over the current one. 

Austin: Aura shield is up and stable, I'll be focusing more on defense since there are multiple fighters going around, I will try to get a shot in when one is in your blind spot. 

Ace: Got it Austin. 

Slam and Sara's station caused two turrets to appear on the building and they destroyed two fighters, Winnona then changed to her buster and hooked up like Austin, Ace, and Lexi. 

Winnona: Ready to blast. 

Winnona then fired from her blaster and destroyed another attacker.

Ace then noticed someone was missing and decided to speak up. 

Ace: Hey uh a certain someone seems to be missing in action anyone seen the Duck Mister?  

Austin sighs before saying: That idiot is still in bed with earmuffs on so he can't hear we're under attack, Wonderfluff is trying to get him up but he's not having any luck, until now. 

Wonderfluff then came into the room carrying Duck's earmuffs with said person right behind him.

Duck: Come back here with those Wonderfluff an action hero can't sleep without those. 

Ace: Nice of you to finally join us Duck. 

Duck sees the situation and froze in his tracks: Oh uh of course I'm uh happy to help defend the base.
