Love Aboard The Titanic

Chapter 2

"Evangeline you are to stay away from that young boy." Mother said

I chuckled "Like you could keep me away from him."

Cal sent me a glare "You will do as you are told Eva."

I scoffed "You are not my father Caledon. As a matter of fact you are nothing to me, so you should mind your own damn business."

Mother gasped "Evangeline!"

I looked at her "What?"

"Do not use that language young lady. See one night with that boy and you're already corrupted." She said

"Mother that is absurd." Rose said from her position next to Cal

"Your mother is right darling." Cal said "Your sister has changed since meeting that boy."

"Me corrupted by Jack?" I laughed "Please, if anyone's corrupted me I'd say it's society and it's foolish, good for nothing standards."

Mother glared "There is nothing wrong with society." 

I rolled my eyes "Right you keep thinking that." I said heading for the door "In the mean time I will be exploring the ship. And if I run into Jack then so be it. I will not need a babysitter so you can stay here Cal." I said looking at him as he went to follow me

I quickly walked away from the room and continued through the halls. While walking around I was taking my time admiring the beauty and art work that was put into this ship. They were right when they said it was luxurious and beautiful.

Making my way onto the deck I walked passed many people who, in society's eyes, were the perfect rich couple. I hated the way society was. You had to be with a rich person if you were rich. You couldn't fall in love with anyone you wanted.

Passing by a group of young kids, who were playing, I was stopped when their ball stopped directly at my feet.

I bent down and picked it up turning to look at the wide eyed children.

"Is this yours?" I asked they nodded and I smiled "Well why are you just standing there? Come and get it!" I said chuckling causing them to smile

I ended up playing with the children for a while just laughing, smiling and goofing off. They were sweet kids.

"See you later Eva!" They called as they ran after their smiling parents

I smiled and waved  to them

"You're good with children."

I turned around and came face to chest with Jack
