~Hayes POV~
"Hi, I'm Hayes."
"Hi. I'm Sarah's mom."
"I see where she gets her beauty. So she's finally home from the hospital, huh?"
"Oh why thank you. Sarah was right about how sweet you are. Yes, she's home."
"Oh, Sarah. She so sweet. I really hope you let me get to know her more. Can I see her?"
"Yeah, she's in her room-"
"Okay thanks!"
"But Hayes wait."
"Yes? What is it?"
"Could my husband and I talk to you?"
"Of course! Anything you need to ask I'll be honest."
Then suddenly a tall, handsome, Sarah looking man walks in. I assume it's her father. I get up.
"Hello, sir. I'm Hayes Grier."
"Ah you're the guy my daughter obsesses over."
"John!"
I honestly couldn't help but blush, laugh, and smile.
"Hm, I guess I am."
"Well Hayes. It's nice to meet you."
"You too, sir."
I take his warm hand into a firm grip and shake it. I want to be polite and a gentleman. I want their acceptance of me. Especially since I want to take her on a date.
"So Hayes. What is your intentions with my daughter?"
"Honestly, sir-"
"John. Call me John."
"John. I want to get to know your daughter. She's not a crazed fan-"
"Not in front of you," he mumbles.
I chuckle.
"Anyway, not in front of me. She's different than the other girls. She doesn't need makeup to be beautiful. She just naturally is. Actually, she's stunning and I cannot tell you enough how lucky I am to have met her."
"Hayes, you sound like a respectable young man."
"Why thank you, si- I mean John. I have a question for you two."
"Yes, what is it?"
"I was wondering if I could have your blessing of taking your daughter on a date?" I asked sheepishly.
"It's okay with me if it's okay with Jana."
"It's okay with me, but we're not the ones u need to ask. I love the respect you are giving us and thank you for asking us, but the only two opinions that matter to Sarah are her dad's, which you have, and her brother's."
"David! Get up here!"
"Yeah, Dad?"
"This is Hayes Grier. He wants to take your sister on a date."
"Mmmmm. This is the mushy- gushy guy that Sarah loves so much.
"Gee I really feel loved."
"Oh yes! You have NO idea.." said David.
