Then You Came Around

~Chapter Seven~

~David's POV~
"Oh yes! You have NO idea.."
"What do you mean?"
"My sister really loves you. You've changed her world."
"Really? Me? I did that?"
"Yes. To my sister."
"Wow. Uhm can I ask you something, sir?"
"First of all do NOT call me sir! You make me sound so old! I'm only 20! Second, yes go ahead" I said with a smile.
"Well, David... Hmm. Uhm I'd like your blessing to take your sister on a date."
"MY blessing?"
I laugh so hard I start to cry.
"Hayes boy, you need my fathers blessing not mine!"
"David, they told me to ask you because they knew Sarah would want your opinion on me out of everyone."
"Really?"
I couldn't believe my little sister loved me enough to say that she wanted my blessing for anything.
"Yes. I can tell that you guys a really close."
"How you haven't even seen us together."
"Just because your father said that she wants your blessing. That's how I know."
"Hayes Grier. Stop talking to me here and go into my sisters room and ask her on a date. You've got my blessing, but if you hurt my little sissy..... Boy you are dead!"
"Thank you so so much! I will not hurt her. Who could hurt such a gorgeous girl. Thank you!"

There's something a little bit weird about that kid. He's so nice. I feel weird about him. Maybe it's cause I'm tired. Oh well, if my sisters happy than I'm happy.

~Hayes POV~
I ran over to her door. Knocked quietly. Then I heard her voice.
"What do you want mom."
Crap I thought to myself. I gotta trick her. in my best womanly voice I say....
"Close your eyes, sweetie! I have a surprise."
"Uhm okay. Are you sick? You sound different."
I walk over without an answer. Place my hands on her eyes and kiss her.

~Sarah's POV~
I hear my mom walk over and then feel her put her hands on my eyes. Before I could figure out what she was doing, she kissed me. This was NOT my mother. I slowly pull whoever's hand were covering my eyes to reveal Hayes. I suddenly jump up in excitement and jump on him. I never thought I'd do this, but my body controlled me as I jumped onto him legs wrapped around him and kissed him. For a long, long time. Luckily, he kissed me back.
"Hayes! You're here! At my house! You actually remembered my address!"
"Of course I'm here beautiful! Yes, I remembered it by heart, if that's not creepy."
We both chuckled as I stay there wrapped around him. We sit there for a while then he suddenly kisses me, again. I let him.
"I wanted to ask you something."
Oh crap. What the heck is he gonna say.
"Will you go on a date with me? I asked for your dad AND brothers blessing. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. You have changed my world, Sarah. Will you please do me the honors of going on a date with me?"
"Y-yes! I mean are you sure they said yes?"
"Ask em."
"No, no." I giggle. "That's okay. I'll take your word for it. Wanna go to the beach and hang out? It's right down the road."
"I'd love to."
He walks down to the beach while I'm on his back. We lay on the sun chairs when he suddenly rips off his shirt and picks me up in a fireman pose and takes me out to the middle of the lake where there's a small floating dock. He could do this because in the area I live in, the water only goes to mid-thigh when you reach the dock. Anyways, he laid me on the dock and hopped up. All we did was laid there talked, and cuddled on the dock. Eventually we both fell asleep and woke up just in time.
"Sarah Elaine Kachinsley! What are you two doing?"
"Mom, Hayes and I are just getting to know each other!"
"Yeah that's all, Mrs.Kachinsley. I promise. See watch.--
Sarah ask me a question about yourself."
"What's my favorite color?"
"Teal."
"Who's my best friend?"
"Mo or Cassie or Anna."
"The guys?"
"Easy. Your dad and brothers. David and Joshua."
"See, Mom!"
"Alright well dinners almost ready. Hayes we're having nachos. Their Cassie's favorite. You want to stay?"
"I'd love to Mrs.Kachinsley."
"Please, call me Jana."
"Thank you, Jana."
Finally that woman is gone. I turn to Hayes when my mom is finally out of sight and tackle him and start kissing him. He's a really great kisser. I knew we had to go back though, so before he could flip me over onto my back to get on top of me I released.
"Hayes, we should go back."
"Okay, beautiful. Whatever you're comfortable with."
Then he kissed me on the forehead and carried me piggy-back all the way home.
