Today is the day. I will finally meet my son. Amélie texted me earlier at which time I have to be there. I can't even express how excited I am. I bought a few presents for him as a apology for not being there earlier in his life. Charlotte decided to not come with me.

I rolled my eyes and put my phone back into my pocket. Wait till you find out she has a son that's from me.

I went to the kitchen.

„You really don't want to come with me?"I asked Charlotte one last time

„No, I don't want to come today. It's your first real time meeting him, I don't fit in there. It should be only you and him, and maybe Amélie. I come next time" she said and gave me a kiss.

„Okay then I see you later, I love you" I kissed her a last time and went to my car.

What do I say? I cant just come in like hey Jules, I haven't been there for you, but I'm your father.

I realised, I really fucked up big time.

I arrived at the apartment and knocked at the door.

„Hey, come in" she said anxiously. We went to the kitchen.

„Charles, I don't know if this is a good idea anymore. He just met Max and I don't want him to be confused"

„Are you kidding me?! You let him see Jules before me?" I said angrily

„You could've met him before, but you just left" she said dryly

„Don't start acting smart now. I want to see my son, Amélie"

„Charles I just told you, it could confuse him. You can come again soon"

„No, Amélie, I want to see him now. I bought presents for every birthday I missed. Do you know how bad I have been feeling the last few days that I wasn't there for him? You can't just tell me now to not see him. I want him to finally know me" I said getting a little bit louder

„Charles, be quiet or he hears you" Amélie told me

„I don't care. I want hi. To hear" I said

„Mama, whose is screa--" Jules came running in and saw me. Shock was all over his face. Seconds later he started smiling and came running to me to hug me.

„Charles, what are you doing here? C'est une rêve. First Max is here and now you. Réveillez-moi" he said blinking his eyes.

„Jules please sit down, we have to tell you something important" Amélie said. Jules let go of me and sat down on a chair.

„This is very important for your life, Jules. Everything will change, okay baby?" She slowly said

„Mama you're scaring me" Jules said. I came down his height and Amélie and me now sat infant of Jules.

„Jules, I'm your Papa" I blurted out. He looked at me and started to cry.
I went forward and hugged him.
