Champagne Problems

„Mama, Maxie today is Qualifying" Jules jumped on our bed, waking both, me and Max, up.

„How late is it?" I asked as I stretched.

„Its shortly before 8 a.m so we still have about 30 minutes before we have to get ready" Max said looking at his phone

„Yay enough time to cuddle" Jules screamed and squeezes in the middle of me and Max. We just laugh.

„Mama, when can I see Papa?" he asked and I looked to Max. I don't know how he feels when we talk about Charles in front of him. He gave me an assuring smile.

„Your Papa hasn't texted yet, but you don't have to be scared. It's either today or tomorrow" I told him. He nodded and snuggled into me. Max put his arm around us and we just laid in the bed together.

Half an hour later we got ready for going to the track. We walked outside and got in Max's car.

We got to the track and we walked trough the gates.

„Maxie, I hope you get Pole Position today" Jules said. We're currently on the way to the hospitality.

„Really? Don't you want you Pap to have it?" Max asked smiling a little bit.

„It's your home race, Maxie. You should have Pole Position and win it" Jules cutely said. Max picked him up and lets him sit on his waist.

„Thank you, buddy" Max said. He and Jules were now a few meters in front of me as his someone from the PR team talked with him about the interviews today.

„I want to see my son this evening" a voice suddenly whispered. A voice I know all too well. I turned my head and looked at him.

„You could've just texted me. It would've been more easy that way and don't be so demanding about it" I told him quietly.

„I couldn't care less right now, Amélie. I will text you the time later and tell your boyfriend, that I'm going to beat him today" he smirked and quickly walked away. I don't get why he is acting up, but everyone like they want.

I catched up with the others as we walked into the Red Bull hospitality. We greet a few people and then Max had to go into a quick briefing.

„Mama, can we walk around the Paddock please?" Jules asked me with big eyes.

„Sure we can, baby. I will text Max and then we can go" I said as I opened my phone. I texted him and we went outside.

„Can we please see all the garages?" he points to the garages.

„Yes" I said and we walked towards the garages. He again looked so fascinated by them and also seeing the cars so close again.

We walked past Ferraris garages and to my surprise Charles was in the garage. He spotted us and waved to Jules. Jules excitedly waved back. We continued our walk till we came back to the Red Bull hospitality at one point.

„Hey, how did you enjoy your walk?" Max asked us as we came back into the building.

„Yeah it was really good" I told him smiling.

„Yes, I saw all the garages" Jules said.

„Are you up for some lunch with Checo and his gang after we did the 3rd free practice?" I laughed at his saying.

„Of courses, I think Jules is hungry till then" I said looking at Jules. He just nodded.

Shortly after Max and Checo went for Free Practice. The Red Bulls were dominant as always and both of the Ferraris came directly after.
