Adoley was the bride. Her smile was captivating. Her brows were arched with love. Her eyes were as that of the clear Maldives. Big and shined with attractiveness. She sang along to his love song while he whispered behind her ears. The strings of his harp arose the harmony.
The kiss was strong and all that she smelled like was over him.
"Bambi..." she turned at his call and run off.
He ran after her. "Bambi.....!"
She became a blue butterfly just as he got close to touch her.
"Bambi.....!"

Kwame woke up. Oh, so it was a dream? A dream about him and the love of his life.
He pursed his lips and wished the dream could continue. Why did she vanish all of a sudden?
He tried to close his eyes in hope to continue the dream. It turned to his fantasy about her.
How they kissed that last night. How her breasts felt in his hands. How he lay beneath her and had all his sweat unite hers. She was beautiful.
Kwame hugged his pillows and wished she had accepted the cell phone he offered Adoley.

"That babe fine oo" Tony, his best friend in his school confessed when Kwame once showed him a picture of her.
"She just Dey give me tough time... I just Dey wan make she for believe say I love her" kwame told his friend in pidgin.
"Oh charley...she too fine. Make una keep am well bro" Tony who was a Nigerian advised him.

He reminisced all these with his arms behind his head on the bed and his face in smiles.
The next morning was going to be school for him.
His stepmother had welcomed him with fufu and soup with crabs.
He had spent all evening in his room arranging his belongings and watching a movie.
Eventually, he listened to some music and slept.

Yet, in Sisi Yaa's compound Adoley had her hands over her head.
Expired?!
Then it means it won't work! And have probably bad effects. Oh no! She freaked out!
BB watched her go up and down; shivering and stomping her left leg in worry.

"Who's responsible Adoley?" She jumped when Sisi's voice sounded from behind her.
"...kwame, Sisi yaa.... It's kwame"She answered knowing she wouldn't need to hesitate. She was crying loudly this time.

"I knew it would be Maame Ama's son. Ah ah ...Something told me... I knew it! All you girls here in this village drool over him, as though he was a prince from the sky" Sisi pointed to her granddaughters face, "had it not been said he's gone back to his Father's?"

"He is! Sisi he's gone!" BB responded.

"Sisi, you've loved me all this time to forsake me now, please help me" Adoley knelt by her grandmother and cried against her knees. Her tears all over her legs.

"Forsake? Ha! Did you think of me that moment when two of your legs were in the air, enjoying the afternoon delight? I will die! I will soon die Adoley! And you shall have the chance to your immoral ways!" Sisi cursed and pushed her head slightly several times as though to get her off her.

"Oh Sisi! Sisi gyae saa Aden?!" BB pleaded and pulled Adoley from the old woman. Adoley's voice could be heard at the square.

About three weeks later, Sisi was much calmer. Her blood pressure was down when BB checked.
Adoley was also ready to face the consequences of her act of love. She was pregnant.
This meant that she was not going to write the WASSCE with her other colleagues calculating from the next eight months.
She knew there was no need going to school. Besides, Sisi yaa wouldn't have given her a penny.

BB brought her some medicines from the clinic within her first two weeks.

Word had reached Maame Ama, Kwame's mother. She got into heated argument with Sisi Yaa. She swore she didn't know Adoley and warned her about setting foot in her house again.

"You couldn't advice your daughter old woman! And you dare to tell me to beware of my words. I don't know anything about my son in a relationship with your pitiful granddaughter with whom you plan on gold digging with! I come against any evil eyes over my son's prosperity in the name of Jesus!" She said bluntly.

"Eii awiase paa ni" Sisi yaa was shocked.

Adoley had already cried enough. She had never thought she'd bring this much trouble to her grandmother.

"Sisi let's go" she begged her grandmother.

Maame Ama proudly announced how the girls forced themselves over his handsome son, mentioning Abena, the village princess, Yewa, the daughter of the head teacher for the primary school, Salin and others.

Meanwhile, Fiifi was Kwame's village friend. He was the only one who knew about Adoley and Kwame's affair.
"Adoley! Adoley!" He came running after her on the way to fetch water at the borehole.
"Fiifi...." Adoley turned astonished because it's been a while he saw him.

"You have a call. It's from kwame!"

She felt a ting-a-ling-a-ling. She dropped her bucket.

 She dropped her bucket
