Just as discussed, Adoley was waiting to hear Kwame call her from her window.

She was getting impatient, she tossed and turned and turned.
True to his word, there he came whispering Adoley.
He was with Fiifi. They took her already packed luggage through the window and helped her climb through the same.
They tiptoed towards the kitchen hut to take the footpath towards the Lorry station.

BB opened her window, but immediately shut it after looking in their direction.

"Do you think she saw us?" Adoley asked Fiifi.

"Just be quiet my dear, she would have shouted us out!" Kwame assured.

"What's the Time?" Adoley couldn't keep mute.

"It's 2:14am Adoley"

"And how do we get a vehicle?"she went on.

"Are you not happy that you're finally leaving?" Kwame quizzed her.

"We need to walk to Tinkong" Fiifi explained they were going to walk the dawn to the next town. By the time then, there we're going to be vehicles available.

"Don't worry, if you're tired I'll carry you" kwame begged.

Adoley didn't like it but she was still happy and felt the assurances of Kwame's undying desire to truly be with her. She fantasized throughout the walk about how brave she thought he was. Adoley felt an inner sense of different joy, especially when Kwame held her hands and carried her tiny luggage as well.

"What are you smiling about?" He wanted to know.

"You know this looks like that story of keteke, my favorite Lydia Forson and her husband Adjetey Annan waiting to find a train. Except I don't have my big belly yet" Adoley told him.

"You don't need your belly yet, Adoley" Kwame chuckled.
Adoley found that a bit weird, she stopped.

"I mean if you have your belly at this time, we couldn't be walking this distance Adoley " Kwame revealed.
"Anyway, what happened to Bambi?" Adoley noticed he kept mentioning her name.

"You'll always be my Bambi dear" Kwame answered even without looking at her.

The walk continued in silence until Adoley broke it again.

"Arrgh!"

"What is it" kwame was sweating.

"I can't walk again, why can't we wait here for a while and continue in an hour" she cried.

" the dawn is already gone. You don't want to miss the first bus to Accra, or else we're going to board the buses in bits" kwame pleaded, ". I talked about carrying you, it wasn't literally, you know you're a bit heavy"

"But kwame, you carried me up against your mother's wall without this complaint"

"You don't have to say all of this!" He held her mouth and looked at Fiifi who felt awkward on his behalf.

Fiifi kept on ahead of them as if he didn't hear.

"Fiifi" Kwame run to him and Fiifi took the luggage.

Kwame carried her on his back. The next walk was a drag. Kwame wore a frown all the way through the rest of the walk.

"Are you coming with us?" Adoley asked Fiifi.

"Oh No" I just need to know both of you are safely gone," he replied, "and K" as he called kwame, "please don't forget to call when you get to Accra"

They finally got the first bus.

Fiifi waved them till the lorry was out of sight.

For the first few minutes, both of them still kept the silence.

About a few minutes leaving the region, Kwame kissed her forehead and let her rest her head on his shoulders.

Adoley raised her eyes to look at him.

"I'm sorry," he whispered to her.

"Thank you for coming for me " she smiled.

"Oh at last!" He smiled back in relief.
