Chapter 42

You felt someone shaking you and lifted your head. You rubbed your eyes and looked around and saw your old teacher. "Are you okay, Haitani? You slept the entire class." You nodded your head. "You can stay in here until the next bell." she said.

"What's today?" you asked her.

"October 30th." she said. She sat at her desk and started grading papers. 'Tomorrow's Bloody Halloween.' you thought. A few minutes later the bell rang and you grabbed your bag and left. You were walking in the hallway and someone grabbed your arm. You swung your bag at them and they blocked it.

"Damn Haitani. Tryna knock me out?" Souya said to you.

"No, it's a reflex." you said.

"Heyyy Y/n." Nahoya grabbed your hand and started swinging it.

"What do you want?" you asked him.

He frowned, "Damn I can't say hey to my only black friend here."

"No negro. What do you want?"

"What you mean?"

"When you walk up to me suddenly, you always want something. What is it?"

"You right. My black ass do want something." He turned his head toward you. "You got 20?"

"I knew it." You always kept money in your bag. You looked in the part you kept it in and handed him 20 and you grabbed another bill.

"Thanks baeee."

He ran off and Angry looked at you. "What?"

"You got another 20?" You handed him the other bill you pulled out and he put it in his pocket. "Where are you going?" he asked you. "I know you're not going to class."

"I'm going to the house." you said.

"Are you coming to the fight tomorrow?"

You shrugged your shoulders, "It depends."

"Ok, I'll see you later N/n." He walked you outside then walked back inside.

When you were outside of the gate you bumped into Kisaki. He waved at you and you kept walking. "Y/n." You kept walking.

You heard his footsteps behind you and you stopped, "Nigga I'm trying to be nice and you're testing that."

"Y/n just listen real quick."

"Nope." you kept walking and he didn't. When you got to your house, you unlocked it with the spare key. You kicked your shoes off at the door and walked up the stairs. "Ran!!" you heard a door open and him peek out.

"I'm busy right now."

"That's nasty." you said. He flipped you off and shut the door. You went into your room and took your uniform off and took a shower. You put on shorts and a shirt and laid in bed. You cut the TV on and started watching a show. Thirty minutes later you heard a knock on the door and Ran walked in and he sat on your bed. "I hope you washed your ass well after that."

He rolled his eyes, "What?"

"You going to the Valhalla and Toman fight?"

"Hell yeah." he said. "You wanna go?" You nodded your head. "Be up at 11 tomorrow. Anything else?"

"Can you make me (favorite food)?" He sighed and nodded his head and walked out the door.

Thirty minutes later he came back with your food and (favorite drink). "Baji's at the door. He knocked like 20 minutes ago and I didn't know if you wanted me to let him in."

"Why wouldn't I want him to come in?"

He looked at you like you were crazy, "Cause you told me yall was done?"

You ate some of your food, "When did I say this?"

"YOU TOLD ME THIS 2 DAYS AGO!" He shouted.

"Don't yell at me nigga and ion remember this." you said.

"You said and I quote, "I'm done with his hard headed ass." he paused. "I asked why and you said and I QUOTE, "Cause I'm sick of his lying ass. That fucker said he was gonna quit Valhalla didn't."

"I said that?" he nodded his head. "I said that exactly."

"Yes." You sat there eating your food. "You ain't gonna say nothing?"

"I'm thinking right now." Ran looked at you. "Ok you can open the door." He got up and walked out and a few seconds later you heard mumbling. Then your room door opened and Baji walked in.

"You have 10 minutes." Ran said. As soon as he shut the door Baji started talking.

"I didn't lie. I swear." He said.

"Then why haven't you quit yet?"

"I just want one more fight. Then, I'm done."

You shook your head, "No Keisuke. This might be your last time with everything."

"What the hell you mean the last time?"

"You're gonna die mf, Keisuke." You said.

You turned away from him but he was staring at you. He waited a while, "Are you high? You shook your head. "I'm not gonna die, I promise."

"You're gonna die." You said.

"How am I gonna die then, Y/n?"

"You really wanna know?" He motioned for you to go ahead. "Kazutora is gonna stab you in the kidney. Then you're gonna get back up and make it worse and you're gonna bleed out."

He started laughing, "You described that vividly. Makes it seem like it's gonna happen."

"Cause it is." You mumbled.

"Y/, it's not. Don't be done with me. I promise after this, it's just gonna be me and you. No gangs or nothing. But you have to quit too." He said. Ran knocked on the door signaling yall time was over. He stood up, "Come watch us tomorrow." He held his pinky out, "Promise to come tomorrow."

You wrapped your pinkie around his, "I promise." He gave you a hug and walked out. You heard the front door close and footsteps to your room.

"We're leaving at 11:45 tomorrow but be up before that." Ran said to you outside the door. He walked away and you pulled the covers over you and started watching your show again. You set your alarm for 10:30 and while watching the show you went to sleep.
