I give my brother an awkward hug as we sit down to talk.

"So, I guess I should just tell you outright. I entered the Triwizard Tournament." Cedric says, his eyes searching my face for any sort of reaction.

I grin at him. "Figures. Not that hard to work out when all the Hufflepuff girls are fawning all over you."

"No that's just my natural charm and charisma." he says with a laugh.

"How are you and Cho?"

"We're good. She's doing great, easily going to be top of her class. And me, well, I'm doing my best."

"That's all that matters. I'm excelling in potions by the way, Snape says he loves having me as a student." I say seriously.

"You're kidding right? Snape hates you. And you hate potions."

"Well you're not wrong." We laugh together before parting ways. These quick discussions always made me feel better, but today, it had placed a deep sense of dread in my stomach.

I walk, my eyes scanning the sidewalk, not looking where I'm going and I run straight into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" I exclaim as I attempt to help them up. It's a handsome Durmstrang student.

"Watch where you're going, or you might be the one on the floor next time." An unapologetic look plasters his stone cold face.

"Leave her alone. Or you'll have me to deal with." A deep voice says, putting their arm around my shoulder and guiding me away from the situation.

"Thanks Freddie." I whisper.

"No problem. Are you okay?" he asks, pushing strands of hair behind my ear.

"I'm fine." I say giving him a hug.

"Alright, take care Vi." He says letting go.

I continue to my dorm, dumping my books before return to the Great Hall. I tug at the sleeves of my sweater as I sit down next to Ginny.

"Tonight we choose our three champions for the Triwizard Tournament!" These words are met by a cheer from the sea of children.

"Up first from Durmstrang..." the silence echo's through out the hall, "VIKTOR KRUM!" The yells are louder this time, people bang on tables, whistling, cheering.

"From Beauxbaton..." Pause. "FLEUR DELACOUR!" A dainty cheer is released from the masses.

"And finally, from Hogwarts, our champion is..." I hold my breath, my stomach twisting into knots, "CEDRIC DIGGORY!" I exhale a breath I never knew I was holding. I clap politely, that feeling of dread sinking deeper.

I looked at my brother and saw how happy he was. How could I be angry?

A collective gasp awakes me from my thoughts as a single piece of paper flits into Dumbledores grasp. "Harry Potter! Into the Champion room at once." all eyes are on Harry.

Harry looks terrified, Ron looks livid, Hermione is in pure shock. Harry stands awkwardly and begins the walk to the Champion Holding room.

The food appears as the heads of each respective school and several teachers and officials disappear. I really hope Harry's all okay.
