"Girl!" Xuri yells making me jump and look at her.
"Your birthday is a big deal! We have to do something good. You're Turning 16!!" She sits her drink down and starts throwing her hands around.
"How bout you plan something for me" I say and she sits down with a big smile.
"Okii" she cheeses at me and starts typing on her phone.
"Damn she big serious" I laugh before continuing to eat my food.

"Happy birthday to yoouuuu" I wake up to People singing and my door hitting the wall.
"Why are y'all this kinda cringy" I squint at them and cover my head with a pillow.
They finish the song and I blow the candles out after making my wish.
"Okay now we gotta get you ready" Kayla pulls me up all the way with a big smile exposing both her dimples completely.
"What am I doing to it" she asks playing with my hair.
"Umm whatever you think will look good for the fit" I shrug.
"What's the fit?" Kayla asks and I pause for a second then shrug.
"Where are we going"I look around at Xuri and she gets really excited.
"Okay so all ima say is I rented out a Airbnb and it's like strip club vibes wit the lights n shit" she says waving her hands around while moving to be in her own open space.
"Ok okay then ima wear that lil white fit I got at the mall" I nod and Kayla looks clueless while Xuri nods over excitedly.
"It's in the closet" I smile and Kayla walks over and walks out with it.
"Ooo no" SJ says and I mug him
"Oooo yes" I say
"Okay so Ima fix up ya curls all pretty and then give you braid highlights. It's gonna be cute. Trust" she smiles.

"Okay I got the stuff" Kayla comes in my room outta breath.
"Okay" I laugh a lil bit while sitting at the vanity.
"Alright" she sits the stuff down and grabs the brush and spray bottle.
She wets and brushes my hair through while we sit in silence.
Eventually I get tired of the quiet and pick my phone back up and log onto insta.
"Would you have told me?" Kayla says breaking the silence.
"Umm" I say adjusting in my chair and looking at her through the mirror.
"It's okay, I don't really get mad" she starts braiding.
"No. I probably wouldn't have..." I say.
"Why not, if you knew it would hurt me eventually" she says and I get quiet for a second.
"That's why I kept it, Ian wantchu to be hurt. Especially if it were to happen again, I don't wanna be his random side piece how I used to be" I play with my shorts.
"I just want you to be honest with me, always" she finishes the last braid and stands infront of me.
"I love you, ok. Happy birthday" she hugs me.
"I love you too" I say hugging her back tightly.

I put my outfit on and take off my shower cap and adjust my hair then look in the mirror.
"Yo she fire" I say quoting NNAN by Young M.A
"Why you gotta wear that fa real" SJ walks in and sits on my bed.
"Cause it's cute, look at me" I say turning and looking at my booty in the mirror.
"Yo ass out tho" he says and I roll my eyes.
"Okay? And yo face out the fuck" I say and he stale faces me.
"Ima beat yo ass I swear to god" he gets up.
"Baby" I pull him before we walks out.
"Nah mane" he says.
"It's my birthday, it's a birthday outfit. You cannot be mad at me for looking cute" I hug him and look in his eyes.
"I Can and i will" he mushes my face playfully and walks out.
