Jungkook
I had just arrived at work and was already dreading the graveyard shift ahead of me.
I looked around the dirty, fluorescent-coloured store and sighed.
Damn, this place is more depressing than my non-existent love life.
I scuffed my feet as I walked to the store room, and dropped my bag on one of the shelves, before heading back out to relieve Bangchan.
"Hey. You can go now," I mumbled; stepping behind the counter.
He looked up lazily and yawned. "Finally. It's been dead all night, except for that one over there. The guy looks rough. Must have been a breakup or something."
He hopped up and stretched his tired limbs, before releasing another yawn and making his way to the back to collect his belongings.
While he was gone, I checked the cash register to make sure everything was in order and began tidying the bits of litter he had left under the counter.
"Alright, I'll see you next week man," he said with a wave and disappeared into the night.
I scanned the room and noticed a few things hadn't been replaced and sighed.
Just once would be nice.
I grumbled to myself as I slowly made my way to the storage room to find the items I needed, and returned to the empty shelves to start stocking them.
God, I hate this hell hole.
I finished filling the bare shelves and decided to sweep and mop the floors now rather than later, as my motivation definitely dwindled over time, and I knew I wouldn't want to do it at five in the morning.
I grabbed the old, dust-covered broom and started sweeping the various bits of rubbish, dirt, and leaves that had blown in throughout the day.
I snaked my way around the store and passed by a man slouched over in one of the seats at the front of the shop.
"Hey, are you alright?" I asked, trying to discern whether the guy was still alive.
But there was no response.
"Hey! Are you okay?" I repeated, tapping him on the shoulder.
The male just groaned and shook his head.
"I f-ucked up," he hiccuped drunkenly.
"How?" I asked, not really sure why I felt compelled to continue the conversation.
The man sniffled and threw his head back to reveal his tear-soaked face, and that's when I realised who he was.
Holy shit! It's Jimin!
I quickly looked around to make sure no one else was in the vicinity and knelt down beside his collapsed figure.
"Dae Bak! What happened?! Where are the others?! Are you alone?!" I asked frantically.
Jimin just grumbled and huddled himself into a ball. "Cold."
I noticed his clothes were rather thin considering the season, and grew worried.
I can't let him get sick.
"Wait there. I'll get something," I urged, standing to my feet and rushing to find a blanket in the store room.
